Remotely similar dials: I think so yes
Has anyone seen another one of these with an even remotely similar dial?
This is a redial.
This is a redial.
I'm not entirely sure about it. I purchased a similar watch in France some years ago, which independently has very similar print features - particularly also the large letters in the signature. I always assumed it was a redial, but now I have my doubts.
This is the only picture I have on hand at the moment, but I'll post more once I take it out of the safe next time.
That looks very similar to all the ones I saw in my research but black. The big deco numbers and much more prominent “Universal Geneve” along with the red seconds hand of that other piece didn’t seem to match anything else I could find.
The thing that looks most off to me on the previous watch in discussion is the Universal Geneve text, without serifs and pointy. I have not seen this before on an original dial. But that catalog pic above looks kind of pointy and non serify. (I would have to see much better pics of your time only example, I can't see hardly anything).
