Interestingly just ran the serial number on this one. It appears to be the same watch which was at Bernardini in May 2016. At that time it was a Uni-compax and the ask was EUR12000.
Now it appears with a Compur dial, the wrong subdial hands, but a correct second sweep hand and an ask of USD16500

When does F for Franken become F for Fraud?
That may well be the key question in Universal chronograph collecting. We have seen that these are very freely franked - a browse through the latest Bernardini sale shows this. And I have seen people on this forum (sometimes the same people) vary from struct purists to tolerant in the extreme. The factory produced a wide number of variations and absent a photo in the archives reproduced in Sala, it is difficult to prove an authentic factory config.

Anybody seen a Martel-signed movement before? It's likely to be a pretty horrific franken and it looks like somebody has deliberately excised Universal Geneve. Very odd
