No doubt, you will mostly receive low ball offers from here because of the title of the thread 😉
Beautiful watch though, I recommend you keep it! 😀

Unfortunately this watch needs to go back to my watchmaker. When fully wound, it runs several minutes fast within a few hours. After that, it seems to keep good time. Could that be an issue with the mainspring? Also, the chronograph second hand is now about 3 seconds ahead when I reset to zero. Could it just need tightened on the pin?

Yeah, looks like it may have some minor issues that need resolved. So I can't sell it yet.

Most probably, the hand is not tightened exactly.

For the valuation:
A similar watch (not exactly the same design) was bought for 7500 + premium = about 9600 Euros in May by @Florent :

Yah I thought of that one, although that dial might even be more unique? Anyhow I'm not sure how to separate out that example being a correct and desirable HJ case, in terms of how that affects value compared to this one? Tough call, pretty subjective I guess.......

It's always a bummer when watches have to go straight back to the watchmaker, but it happens. Hope it's a quick and easy fix !

Both dials are extremely special and rare. Cases are also not the standard cases. Imho, they are in the same league.
Whatsoever, you always have to find someone paying that price for the watch.

Found what I think is the perfect vintage gray 11/16th strap. Might make me want to keep the watch, amazing what the right strap can do.

Yes you can. So long as you disclose any problems that you know of (as you’re doing now), a buyer might very well prefer to send it to his favorite watchmaker to get it worked on. You can absolutely sell it “as-is” with a clear conscience. Good luck with your sale...

This is most true. I purchased a rare UG in non working condition. Did not impact the price as seller and I decided I could get it serviced for less cash than in E.U.

While I agree when it comes to unserviced watches, I wouldn't do that in this case. The watch is already serviced. So the watchmaker should make the watch run correctly. He was paid for that. Otherwise the new owner has a serviced watch but needs to go to hs watchmaker to get the problems solved.

Looks like there's another "Big XII" coming up at an auction in December. Would be interested to hear people's thoughts. The central hands strike me as a bit odd but I am decidedly not an expert on these.

Hands mismatch. Hour hand is stick, minute is leaf.
