The lugs all finished, fabricated in 14k rose gold by Peter Wuischpard.

The lug on the left in picture 2 is slightly misaligned. But I'm still very pleased.

That's a great result - bravo on a good job bringing this one back from the dead! FINALLY a "Frankenstein" on Omegaforums I fully approve of :D

It was 5 months and $468 to fabricate those lugs. They are solid 14k rose gold. So excited to see the final results. Now my watchmaker needs to service it.

It's ironic that a forum where collectors frown the slightest rejuvenation of a watch would achieve some consensus in regards to this case rebuilding. Personally, I approve. :D

There comes a point when it's necessary. And why not bring it back, considering it was a $1 yard sale find. I think there needs to be more appreciation for restoration, as some rare vintage watches are ticking time bombs.

Clarification, my dad paid $1 for it. I paid him $200. Yes, the lug work was $468. I'll probably have $800-$850 in it when it's done.

Especially brands like UG. There will come a time when restoration and fabrication are the only avenues left. I love the work.

Of course. There was no alternative in this situation.
