Does that say when it was last updated?

I think it’s updated on the fly. I know someone who sent their details through a few weeks ago and the SN is now there.

I have said this before, but the suggestion made by several respected sources that as few of 50 of these were sold originally is looking increasingly incredulous. Bearing in mind that over the years some may well have been put back to a white hand, and many will not have surfaced yet, the true total must be much higher. It doesn't help that there is a suspicion backed by evidence that the archive aren't entirely on the ball with this model and the verification process can't be 100% relied on, considering the earlier extracts at least where the customer was allowed to add their own comment.

Well, I would think now that these are worth a pretty penny they are much more likely to surface and not stay hidden n someone’s sock drawer. But who knows! There could be 100 or 2 original ones

I am not saying that the acknowledged ones are fake, just that the suggestion of 50 in total is likely an underestimate and that the records are sketchy meaning the exact amount delivered is shrouded in fog. I don't think Omega themselves know exactly how many are out there and their earlier requests for photos to confirm examples smells very fishy. I notice they routinely do this now as part of the new improved customer focused EOA process. Why ask for a photo if your records are complete? It either left the factory like that or it didn't. Surely the archive should know and know how many.

I have no idea what they have on record and what they don’t, so if I was going to shovel out top dollar for an Ultraman I would want to know as much as possible about where it came from.

The extract of archives sounds like what I'm looking for. Out of interest would that also show it going back for service, or just the build and delivery of the watch.?

As for the right tools. I was hoping more of the correct tool to fit the case. I don't know the right people to trust with it.

As for dibs. It's still mine for now... LoL

Where are you located? I'm sure that someone here can give you a reliable watchmaker in and or around your area.

Well folks.
Opened it up today. Guy used the correct tool as above. It's in nice condition inside No signs of rust corrosion or moisture.

The numbers seem to tie up so far.

What is three watches amongst friends?

The way I read it is that these things were coming out of the woodwork in droves, but only 53 so far is a drop in the ocean, even if it was 500, it would still be a low number.
I wonder who the person was who said "only 50 were produced"?
Does anybody know? Omega themselves?
Cheers, Michael
