Hi folks.
Just got an email from omega with a pdf copy of the extract

Is special model with orange chronograph hand.

So ultraman .. Awesome

To true that's how it feels. Funny story though The guy who collects scrap round here collected an old cannon. He's checked up about it. It could be a pre civil war and worth £75k so funny stuff turning up all over.. LoL

Certainly happy for you, but I also find it a bit worrisome as again the chrono hand looks to be a good deal too short. So they are giving out extracts willy nilly then? I don’t mean to take away from your watch at all but it was a rather accepted fact how long the orange chrono hand is supposed to be

who’s to say it wasn’t changed at a service let’s say.

Yes we all know it was a certain length etc but was all know hands are changed. Plausible explanation.

Well, this one is definitely too short for an Ultraman. Looking at some confirmed examples of the past and also bidding against each other @Cad290 for one with the ultraman hand painted white, so we could just compare sizes of the hand, this definitely is not an Ultraman hand.

So most likely changed during a service at some point.

Are you referring to the vintage or new version?

I have just checked my UM and it does not react to UV.

Hi folks not been on in a while. I've had the watch stripped and checked by an expert.
You are correct the needle is to short.
But it's the original needle but it has been damaged at service at some point.
Other than that all the other dimensions of the needle are correct. We have some macro pictures of the end of the needle.
Also when serviced by omega the crown, pushers and crystal were replaced with omega service ifems. This apparently is a common practice at omega.
The rest of the watch, strap etc is original.

Hope this clears up any confusion

Yeah I put mine on market place. I over priced it to see what kinds of replies I'd get. But as of yet not had any.

probably because they only want to pay £3.50 and deliver it to other side of country 😀
