hi guys,

hunt, hunt, hunt.

found this. case is pretty beat up, has had a hard life. looks original though.

anything amiss here?

What's a good range for something in this condition?

IMO the word "Seamaster" has been added later, it is different in color and font

I'm still new to these, but I think I've seen them both with and without the seamaster, esp on the lower portion of the dial.

Will keep staring at the pics..

Edit: hmm, maybe not with the seamaster on the lower part of the dial.. how much does that devalue the piece? Where's ranchero101.com (the equivalent of speedmaster101.com)?

another example with "Seamaster" above the seconds subdial... text also looks off colour.

is this a real variant, or some sort of add-on/re-dial?

The seamaster part is almost certainly a non factory addition. See this thread for some speculation on when/why it was done. http://omegaforums.net/threads/omega-ranchero-help-me-in-this-one.658/

In any case, I don't think it's worth the $2800 they're asking.
