Has omega made any Ranchero with this dial, that says both ranchero and seamaster at the same dial ?

And is there some way to check if this ranchero realy is an authentic ranchero with help of the number on the caliber ?

    Best regards / J

16,364,804 is from 1958, which is the correct year to have a caliber 267. I've never seen Seamaster on a Ranchero dial though. Probably a mistake by the refinisher. What is the case reference off the caseback? It should be 2990.

I Will ask for à picture on the back case. When you meen à misstake from the refinisher, you meen that the dial is professionell refinished by someone and that its not an original non touched factory dial ?

From what i can see, i think the text "seamaster" is brighter than the rest of the dial text. Thats à warning sign i think.

Yes, I believe the dial has either been refinished or the Seamaster has been added. Need a better pic to figure out which is the case.

There is one other possibility: the watch was shipped to the US to Norman Morris who added the Seamaster to the dial.

That's a good question. Some say yes, some say no. I think gatorcpa has a Seamaster that Norman Morris redid the text on the bottom half of the dial so it says

    Seamaster
    De Luxe
or something like that. I've never taken either side. The only way to tell would be to order the extract from Omega, and I'm not even sure if that information would be disclosed.

You don't anymore. Norman Morris was their import agent back in the 1950's and 60's (plus a few years on either side of that span I'm sure). They were responsible for having Omega put DE VILLE underneath Seamaster in the mid 60's. It must have been a marketing thing back then.

    Ok :(
I love this watch, but will not pay 4050 usd, for à ranchero with refinished dial and some "own" seamaster text ;)

To my knowledge, the main market for the Ranchero was the US, so from a marketing standpoint, it wouldn't make a whole lot of sense to dual-brand these like the Seamster DeVille, etc. The case and movement seems more or less correct. The dial has the proper fonts. I do see a problem with what looks to be a misaligned movement trim ring on the top picture. Not sure if such a piece is supposed to be there or not, but if it is correct it is easily fixed.

Somehow, the "Seamaster" font just doesn't look right on that watch. This is something that could be 100% legit, or it could be a total franken. I just don't know, and I'm not sure if Omega would know either. At that price, It had better be perfect. I'd say keep searching.

ULF, I don't have a Seamaster DeLuxe, although I wish I did. Through the magic of the internet you can see one right here:

These were probably the US market equivalent to the early Geneves.

    Hope this helps,

How big are your wrists then, I've just got this picture of a button sized watch on a giant arm for some reason. I can't go below 34-35mm without looking silly.
