There’s absolutely no excuse after 7 months. It doesn’t matter what the you tuber is going through. He very easily could of said something has come up and I won’t be able to do the video, I’m really sorry and mailed the watch back. I’ve never seen his videos but by his responses posted here he’s an ass at best and bordering on being a thief. Hope you get your watch back soon.

We don't know what that guy is going through although he is not covering himself on glory with some comments he's made. Just ask him to return your watch this week and ask him how quickly he can do that.

I don't mean to single out Chris, but the chances of this guy being legitimate are close to zero, and the idea that he should be given the benefit of the doubt strikes me as being on the ludicrous side of wishful thinking.

I hope very much to be proven wrong, but I don't see how anyone could be optimistic that the watches in question even remain in his possession.

I was really hoping that this would come to an end quickly. He certainly seems like a scammer given the new evidence. Sorry OP. Let's see where this goes from here, hopefully this opens up more conversations and if there are others, they come forward. I suggest gather as much info as possible and then we can assist on the proper moves forward. Anyone know of members who reside in Italy? Possibly they have contacts that may be able to assist legally.

This. Anyone in the EU should be able to act as a relay station. I will be happy to do so.

This seems the most reasonable solution to me, if we take Oisin at his word and the shipping logistics are truly the issue.

Let's remove the obstacles that create opportunities for excuses.

Sorry, but do you seriously believe that "shipping logistics" is the problem? After many months (or longer), and in multiple, documented cases?

I suppose that he could be an antelope, but if so, it sure is odd that he both walks and quacks like a duck.

@collector1946 , How did this guy find you? Was it from your post of the watch on OF?

IF we take him at his word, not what I believe. Getting the watch back to the OP is my chief concern.

OP, been a member for ages and never post, but I truly feel for you. I hope you get your watch back safe and sound very soon. Seems like the whole forum is behind you 👍

I would not disagree with the last part at all and that's why I said in my post, the OP should get a proof of life photo.

Nobody knows what is happening here. The OP clearly has some contact with this guy and can provide proof, I suppose, of all discussions. The other images of someone else who's had problems are second hand but everyone is just believing them. Someone said this guy also has music as an income and that is probably his primary source, but that's been ignored. I really don't know.

In these discussions, we tend to just believe whatever suits our initial thoughts on the matter.

I wish the OP good luck. As I said, get proof of life and then book the return courier. I know it's not ideal but it may get the watch back.

Cheers, Chris

Hi

Sorry to hear about the sentimental watch that Oisin would not return to @collector1946. I have a very similar story

I modify watches as a side gig. When I was starting this gig in early 2021, I reached out to a handful of youtubers offering to make a custom watch in return for a video review and a shoutout.

When I reached out to Oisin, he agreed to do a review video. However, instead of 1 watch he asked to send 4 so he can do a more comprehensive review. We reached an agreement that he will keep one watch and return the other 3.

Long story short, he not only didn't do a video review but never returned any of the 4 watches.

While the street value of those watches were only $2000 but it was a substantial amount needed to kick start my business.

@collector1946 has attached above my correspondence with Oisin. It has be 16 months - I have never gotten my watches back.

Do you have photos you can post of the four watches and have you taken this to the police at any point, as after 16 months and the messages of yours the OP posted earlier, I don’t imagine you are likely to see those again.
