The first 42 mm 2500 aluminum bezel PO is IT for me. Especially the 2209.50 for the orange bezel. That's my PO. Done.

For me, THE PO must have some orange on it

Me too. The 2209.50s orange bezel burned into my mind when I first saw it in the print catalog. I'm lucky to own one and I'll admit that I baby it a tiny bit, just because I'll never replace it. 👍

No other subsequent PO has ever inspired me.

Agree with the above.

Also, the only time watches “sing” to me is after consuming too much caffeine (but it could also just be tinnitus).

I have this and absolutely love the whole look...

@savio.79 the LM LE PO is the only PO I would ever swap my standard PO 2500 for. It looks like a mega watch. Do it. Do it! DO IT!!!

Hello guys, I need an advice, please.

The Planet Ocean (2500) is the first watch that I've loved. I can say that it sparkled my loving for Omega.

But I've never bought one, because when I finally was able to afford one, the 8500 came out, but it was way too thick for my tastes.

Now I own a 300m Steel/Sedna with bracelet, that I love (except for the hands, I don't like them too much).

Now I'm thinking about swapping my Seamaster 300M with a second-wrist Planet Ocean, and I would opt for a LM LE.

I'm not a collector,

What do you think?

Is it a downgrade? no antimagnetic proprieties, no display case back, old 2500 movement, no micro adjusting clasp, etc.

Oh! and, because of the "picture or it never happened" thing, here it is my 300M 😁

Help me, please, to make my mind.

The original PO 2500, in both 42 and 45.5 sizes, are are the best PO‘s ever made particularly when it comes to fit, style, thickness (nice and slim) and overall aesthetics. It is a true classic and the PO LM (Liquid Metal) LE steps it up to another level. That’s the one to go for!

Here’s some pics of my original PO 2500 XL, on an OEM “Shark Cage” mesh bracelet. This bracelet was available, I believe for only one or two years, as a separate model. The model number for this PO 2500 XL was 2200.53.00

"The" Planet Ocean is the first issue 42mm with the 2500 caliber movement.
Worn by Daniel Craig in Casino Royal (although he wears the 45,5mm as pictured)

this has convinced me I want one

Noone would ever call a PO LMLE a downgrade, ever! It is a fantastic watch!

in your case though it is a very difficult choice… the sedna 300m is very good, and very versatile
The LMLE is a lot dressier than all other POs and can be worn in any setting, but it will be more sport/tool/utilitarian than the sedna gold… so if you prefer a dressier “boardroom” look you may want to keep the sedna

that being said, you cannot ever go wrong with the LMLE, it is definitely the best diver Omega ever made (looks- and haptics-wise at least), and one of the very best divers from any brand

i have one, and I can think of nothing that would ever make me want to exchange it! (But I’m not one for gold watches albeit I like them on others… just not my style)

I often go through my watches trying decide in what order I will let them go and I admit when the time comes the P.O. will be one of the last.

The 42mm 2201.51 with hint of orange is my choice. It's really great and not as thick as the newer models.

for me, THE seamaster professional is the James Bond Goldeneye worn by Pierce Brosnan

likewise, also for me, THE seamastee aqua terra is the James Bond Skyfall worn by Daniel Craig

just curious. What is THE seamaster planet ocean for you? Is there a clear iconic one?

So far, no PO sings to me.
I love big watches , but , this just wears a bit heavy for me, I wish they’d gone is down just a tad

Creamsicle with Omega OEM Gray and Orange strap. Definitely gives the watch a more casual look.
