Your buns are nicer than Archer’s buns.

Not nicer just different. Two different buns for two different situations

Also made bread with olives and mozzarella inside. Also turned out quite good

Baking (and cooking in general) almost have therapeutic effect on me. I am quite busy at work currently and sometimes almost to the point where it affects me physically. I am quite good at handling it and pay attention to the signs and react. But being in the kitchen really calms me. If I have to opportunity I like spending a good part of a Sunday in the kitchen and “reload” for the coming week.

Yesterday it was buns, bread and porchetta with roasted vegetables. Today it is some sort of lentil patties probably again woth roasted vegetables and garlic bread.

@Togri v. 2.0
Now retired but when I worked I was exactly the same. I realised that the job was fractured (enjoyable, stressful, rewarding and a lot of positive stuff but treadmill like) whereas cooking a meal has the classic beginning middle and end and that seemed to satisfy something inside me.
Keep at it!

I made cheese scones yesterday, forgot to take pix, still getting used to the oven in the new place, so they were a little burnt on the bottom….they tasted pretty good though

Do you ever add dill to your dough?
That’d be dilldough! Now it is a matter of personal preference but I don’t fancy that…. I imagine that would make it stiff and hard to swallow

It tasted fine, the tomato sauce could be improved.
The dough was great and very thin.

Pot bread for kids breakfast during the week (let’s see how many days before I need to bake another). 1/4 whole grain Øland wheat, 1/4 durum wheat and 2/4 manitoba wheat and then 300 grams of rolled oats.
