··Yoda of YodelersHi all,
I just finished this “loupe holster” this morning. It’s a one of a kind of my own design. Made with love from vegetable tanned leather, hand cut, hand dyed, hand sewn and finished.
My thinking behind this was “where the heck is a good place to keep your loupe when out at a flea market or antiquing?”. This holster, I believe, is the answer. The only thing I can think to do differently next time is to use a less aggressive belt clip, this one is stiff enough to hold a cannon on your hip during a triathlon. Any feedback, pro or con, is encouraged. The holster holds a standard loupe, as shown.
So what to do after the design is thought out and the work is completed? After two years of a pandemic and news of Putin’s invasion of the Ukraine, the answer is simple: give it away to brighten the day.
If you’d like to own it, then simply like this post 👍 A winner will be drawn next Sunday, March 6th, from the list of likes to this post. Loupe is not included.
Just for clarity, regardless of the thread’s title, this post is not necessarily endorsed by the forum’s owners. Not at all wanting a political discussion here, but today I made a $100 donation to the Red Cross Ukrainian Relief Campaign, an amount that was matched by the Canadian gov’t 👍. Letters were also written to the appropriate politicians. All I ask of the entrants is that you consider making a gift to the charity of your choice in support of democracy, humanitarian relief and decency.
Have a great weekend all
