I normally lurk here, but figured I'd add a quick post to this thread. You all have probably seen a few of my watches in the WRUW thread. Admittedly, I only have two Omegas: a Skyfall PO and a battered 1970 Dynamic (cal. 613), but I don't feel out of place on this forum, because everyone has a wide range of tastes. My absolute favorite watches--no question about it--are Hamiltons with US-made movements. I can't get enough of 'em. Anyway, I'll be around, though mostly in the WRUW thread. I'll pipe up if I see a discussion where I can contribute. Wearing my El Primero today. Bonus movement shot since I already posted the front of the watch in the WRUW thread.
Greetings, everyone. I'm Steve and have been lurking for a while, but thought I'd join. I've got a modest collection, including a pair of Omegas, and enjoy everything about the hobby (religion?). Looking forward to conversing with you lot.
Judging by the way normal people look at you when they find out how much your watch costs, and then that you have boxes full of more watches, it's more like a cult Steve. A fun one though. Welcome!
Just wanted to officially say hi: Hi. Been on and off this site, but figured I would join. I was given an Omega Constellation by my father a month before he passed away on New Years Day 2007. I was curious and wanted to find more information about this watch and its history. Everyone has been great in helping me, being an Omega NUB. Hopefully I will learn a lot and in time, be able to be as helpful as everyone is to me... Just need to fight the urge to buy.
Oh boy, that's why we have credit cards. I started here asking about a redialled 30t2 and now... well, now I know resistance is definitely futile.
Hey guys! Say welcome to the noob I found this forum while researching one vintage Seamaster. Im not sure on how many forums I am registered right now but this one seems cozy
Oh we're cozy alright and cuddly too. But then when you get to know us, BAM! Turtle Cozy's brought to you by Katie Bradley http://www.etsy.com/shop/MossyTortoise
Hi all, I'm Sean and I work for a private trading firm outside of Philadelphia. I also reside in Philly with my wife. I got into watches after my wife bought me a Breitling as an engagement present and haven't looked back since. I just purchased a 3570.50 Speedy Pro from a dealer on this site, so it will be my first (and certainly not last) Omega. I have a few other pieces including the aforementioned Breitling, Stowa, Damasko, Nomos, Squale, Hamilton and Christopher Ward. Hope to talk all you more in future!
