That’s very interesting.
It seems that there could exist a kind of transitional dial between the A4 and A5 types...
More than the serif vs. sans serif fonts, look at the logo.
The A5 type (with dots) figures the new type of logo that won’t change till the end of the production, while the A4 type (without dots) figures the old version. And your dial (with dots) seems to have the old logo design...

Incredible that they have made so many dials versions in such a short period of time...!

It seems they’ve been experimenting a lot with variations of the dials, indeed. 😀 Here’s a picture of the back of the dial.

I've never considered this watch before, and even dismissed it as being quite ugly, but just last week I had a chance to try this 910 on and now I can't get it out of my head!

I just hope this model DOESN'T get more attention in the near future so that I can one day get to own one of my own.

The dial appears a bit washed compared to the rest. Interesting. But all the parts are vintage and correct to the reference. Without knowing nothing as you say, you seem to have catched a rather nice one 👍

That's exactly the 013 effect. You don't care about it till you get one on your wrist. There is a good dozen of people I've infected with that germ 😁

Do you know that you have a rare / unusual dial on your watch?
Your dial is one with lume dots on the 12 marker, but without the serif fonts. The Flightmaster Only book doesn’t mention this version in their book, but now as I see yours is the same as mine, this gives me assurance that there indeed was a version like ours in between the first and second edition of the dials. Here’s yours and mine (had a hard life) next to each other.

Hello, I don't undertand what are the serif fonts you are talking about?
Can you please provide more details?

Look at Lowen’s reply earlier in the thread.

The two dials we have identified have the older logotype and share the old dials font, so to simplify it all, these two look like the first A4 type of dial with just two lume dots added next to the 12 marker. So a sort of a “transitional” dial before the A5 dial comes into the production.

I think it might be too late already... With the book released this year, they're definitely picking up ...

Thank you vey much for your kind comment. I can remember, that the privat seller told me, that the watch is 100% original, but that the crystal was broken and has been changed by his watchmaker against an original part (which was not an easy job). So my best guess is that the lume may be affected by the broken crystal over a long period and that therefore they washed the dial a bit during this repair. The watch and bracelet have only very few signs of wear at all. So maybe the original owner cracked the crystal very ealry and put the nice piece away.

Just received the book! Now I understand!

I was searching for flightmasterdials cal 910 with the same characteristics than ours ...just viewing pictures on Instagram #flightmaster
and found many of them. They have a slightly broader gap beetween 1 and 8 in the green area of the day/night counter subdial, which is typical for A4 dials and dots around 12 which is in A5 dials ...😀

Here’s my 910 w/the “Flightmaster Only” book. Mine received complete maintenance from Bienne. This is my second Flightmaster, I sold my 911 w/yellow hands several years ago.

Just went looking on YouTube and here’s a link if anyone else is interested.

Not sure why but it won’t let me put the start time in the link, so you’ll have to skip to 37m40s where it starts...

Thanks for posting video.

Interesting to note the appraiser said it was an automatic watch 👎

Of course it's a manual wind.

Here's mine and a little bit of it's history. I've had it since the beginning of the tear and I'm always surprised how small it wears on the wrist. It feels smaller than a modern speedy MK11 for sure.

I broke down and found this one. It was refurbished. I prefer the 910 variant
