Stumbled onto this photo I took some time ago, it was a happy day, can anyone guess what鈥檚 special about the watch?

White gold?

Finally found a bracelet for the missus' C-case.

and in other news I now happen to have another ladies c-case in need of a service and a crystal...

If anyone happens to have a lead on a 5108 crystal that would be super helpful too.

Other Omegas keep getting in the way of picking one of these up, but I really should. Probably a grey dial. These are Gerald Genta designs?

Yes, and now is the time to buy, I've been collecting for 2 years and prices are almost 50% of 2 year highs

There are when it rains it pours moments, I think this is one of those, watches really overflowed demand

Granted most have small issues and not perfect, but still, prices are just so good

From a collectors perspective it hasn't been good, it's been more than 3 months since a rare variant entered the market, I think the lowered prices are keeping good or rare watches back

Its been tough on my self control, I have to use every small defect to stop myself.

A grey or a thin index and hands combo though... still calls out to me.

Yep, same kind of strap on mine @Spruce! Just past 2 years of owning this ref 168.029.

Always tempted by those milled edge bezels

New kid on the (C) block ... actually a rather senior citizen with a serial no. 26xxxxxx!

It's a 168.029 reference with nice skinny indices & hands, and it's now looking for a strap (this one is borrowed from a Seiko) and a fitting buckle - it was paired with one which sadly went missing during transit, somehow. But we're glad to finally join the C-case club 馃榾

Congrats! and sorry to hear about the strap issue 馃檨

That one is an uncommon dial as well, has curled Omega ends and ~identical half curled n's

Thanks! The after-market strap was there as expected but the advertised buckle never arrived. I got a refund from the well-known Japanese seller but I'm not sure that'll buy me a correct buckle. But I'm willing to wait.

Yes, the dial isn't "MOY" either but as I learned from this thread, there are a couple of variations. The glass is original (or a factory replacement) with the Omega logo, and the case seems to be in good shape. And it's running well so far, at around +6 seconds per day.

Gold coated buckles aren't in demand, so it won't be a hard quest

My theory is Omega always changed a small thing with the dial at every new batch, but I don't know why these are special, my theory is they might be very early service dials, but I couldn't find anything to support this, they could just be another batch

My solid gold 168.029 also has the same details, on a champagne linen instead of white (shared some pictures on the thread but way back) - but at a quick glance couldn't find a similar steel one

If anyone spots any interesting c-cases out there please do let me know! Looking to buy my first proper watch and love the look of the c-case. I've been going back through this thread and some of the ones people are posting are fantastic. Ideally white dial / bezel with milled edges - so far nothing is quite ticking the box on Chrono24/Ebay etc. but willing to be patient 馃榾 Thanks.

There are plenty around but, if you鈥檙e into that shape and also looking for a less expensive daily wearer, have a look at the 165.041 or 166.041 watches with the 552 or 565 movements.

I was initially intending to compile every variation of everything C-Case related in a book format, but moved onto a website as it'll be more flexible, there's a dizzying amount of different cases it seems:

1- Shiny bezel steel case
2- 14K yellow gold coated shiny bezel steel case
3- 14K rose gold coated shiny bezel steel case
4- 18K shiny bezel yellow gold case
5- 18K shiny bezel white gold case
6- 18K shiny bezel rose gold case
7- Brushed bezel steel case
8- Knurled 18K white gold bezel steel case
9- Knurled 14K white-yellow gold bezel steel case (?) (14K claimed but not verified)
10- Knurled bezel 14K yellow gold coated steel case (bezel gold solidity claimed but not verified)
11- Knurled bezel 18K yellow gold case
12- Knurled bezel 18K white gold case
13- Knurled bezel 18K rose gold case (?) (never seen)
14- Knurled bezel 14K yellow gold case
15- Low knurled bezel 18K yellow gold case
16- Low knurled bezel 18K white gold case
17- Low knurled bezel 18K rose gold case (?) (never seen)
18- 18K UK solid gold case with bracelet welded variations (bracelet based serials)
19- A US special WG Case

These are just for 561, 564, 751 cals. - there are easily 20+ different cases as each solid gold case type could have different manufacturers too, especially the UK fused bracelet models, but for steel cases I didn't notice any significant variation from different manufacturers, minus the 14K/18K bezel claims of the 168.027 / 169.029 - I'll try to find a x-ray tester nearby to get some cases tested at one point

Admittedly I started paying attention to most things only after starting this documentation journey
