I won this watch today, 42.000 sek + costs, I was the only bidder

I wonder what you guys think of the inscription, I've asked a couple of friends, the feedback was positive

Wow, really cool watch! Looks like something discovered from King Tutankhamun's tomb 馃榿 Love the bracelet.

I think the inscription looks nice and adds personality to the watch.

So here another picture. I am not really a genius in photography, and in particular I never have a lot of time. Should really reactivate my DSLR for such purpose...

The strap is not doing the watch any good, it was the only 19mm sized one I had lying around, but a black one will be better (or a suitable steel bracelet, but I am really more a leather strap guy).

I have some wear on my gold capped case on the lugs, and this has always annoyed me a bit, but I do have a WG bezel case like this one from a watch I bought as a donor some time back, so this combination has been tempting to me, but never having been able to find a combination like this in the wild has stopped me.

Those gold linen dials really are very nice to look at though.

Received this photo for an upcoming auction, instead of a special dial, I think this is a redial, never seen a missing SWISS or SWISS MADE, the AUTOMATIC looks out of center as well - however I still like it, they at least designed something new and simple

Also a reminder note to myself, but I guess a common knowledge for experienced members and a good advice for all beginners like me, one must ask and insist on quality photos for all auctions and check the angles etc. - auction houses are great at hiding the flaws, and they usually send/show low res photos

The dial could also be authentic. Sorry, but the picture quality is really not good enough to determine that. Always a risk when trading online...

Thank you!

Yes I鈥檓 in the UK.

I have about 4 weeks, but I won鈥檛 rush to buy the wrong one either.

my last example from eBay and then I might have to give it a rest for a few days to see if there are any new listings.

we aren鈥檛 watch collections in the way the lovely people here are so it needs to be a 1972 to have the significance.

thoughts on this one?

I think you are better off buying constellations with 751 or 564 movement rather than the 10xx, from what i read here in the forum these are the ones with a couple of plastic materials in the movement to reduce the production cost.. just my opinion.

The watch checks a lot of boxes for me, I wanted a dual color bezel, wanted one of these bracelets

It has 1-2 flaws but I don't think it matters too much, I like when the star turns and becomes upside down, have a C-Case with a turned star that I consider very lucky, the star on this watch started turning but it's not upside down yet 馃榾

I believe he's the owner: https://www.geni.com/people/Kurt-Mark/6000000017087158048 (or was the owner, depending on how you look at things)

Wow, looks amazing.

I've just joined the club this week after receiving this 168.027 from a nice fellow in Hong Kong. I love that the dial is either grey with black plots or violet with silver plots, depending on the light. Crystal needs a bit of polywatch, and bracelet has some stretch, but I'm really pleased. The problem is, now I want one with a smooth bezel and white dial!

Please share a link to that strap as well 馃槦

By the way, just noticed this recently, these dials have slightly thicker 3/6/9 indices, while the others are thin, not even easy to tell up close, I noticed it after seeing a macro shot

Of course, it comes from @Optimizer13鈥檚 shop: https://www.veblenist.com/straps/candi-suede-watch-strap

Do you have the macro shot available? I鈥檇 be interested to see these differences

No room in the photo for the glass of wine - still, this is a watch forum not a wine forum - right?
