The time has come to join this club!

Finally I was able to pick up my new and freshly serviced C-case 168.029 in steel with WG bezel and silver linen dial. Special thanks to @kaplan and @MtV for all of your support!

I just loved this watch from the first moment! For the future I might need to hunt for a new crystal (PZ 5118).

I am pleased to share some pictures of this beauty:

Looks awesome I hope you enjoy it for a long long long time but that garden though? Stunning! 😀

May I ask where did you get the strap? or did it come with the watch?

It somehow came with the watch. The inside says: Kvarnsjö leather sweden. PXL_20220418_203825732.jpg

I recently purchased a 168.0056 and was hoping to get folks thoughts on the bracelet. The watch is in very nice condition but it was on a bracelet I am not familiar with - 2036 with 056 end links.

I thought these always came on a 1040 or 1172 so when I bought it I figured it was not on an Omega bracelet so was a bit surprised when it arrived. Tried google and didn’t really find many examples of my bracelet.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Here are a few pics of watch and bracelet.

Thanks

056 represents 168.056’s .056 - it’s a special bracelet made for that model

There are other examples, like 017 for 135.017 or 741 for 198.741

It’s a genuine bracelet

Thank you for the help as it is a nice surprise as I purchased assuming the need to buy a bracelet. I mostly bought it as I thought the condition looked good from a few poor pictures and it looked like it had the remains of the protective gel on the case (which it does have).

Figure I will try it with this bracelet and see how it feels but I may still keep my eye out for a 1040 bracelet since they pair so well with the watch.

I will also try to posts some nicer pictures when I have some sunlight.

Comes down to personal taste. My favourite is the 1172 riveted, although that may change when the 1125 I've bought turns up. All work, even the later bracelets on the earlier .017s, because of the end-links completing the look. IMHO at least! IMG_0736.jpeg

My 168.029 also came on the same 2036 bracelet and I also wondered whether the bracelet was genuine, but have been assured by @kaplan that it is (thanks!). It's a nice bracelet and comfortable to wear. The 1172 (2nd photo) also goes well...

everyone is taking sun shots with their c-cases.

Not wanting to be left out here is my 058 on a 3011.

I will probably cry when I put the first scratch into this one... but it would be even more of a shame to not wear it.

I have a question, does each bracelet only take specific end links, or can it fit other end links as well, for example, bracelet 1040, which type end links does it take? reason is I saw a bracelet for sale but without end links, and i figure it would be hard and expensive to find one. TIA

518 end links for the 1040 for the c-case. Available, but uncommon; much better to get a bracelet with the endlinks included. (What's your time worth?)

Thanks! I have also seen bracelet 1040 with 19mm end links, but the links included is 539, i mean is that for constellation as well?

1040 fits 518, 593, 539 - and maybe more - if anyone has steel 593's, I'm buying too, they are a bit more elusive than the gold ones 😀

Very few bracelets only fit a single endlink type

This finally turned up today, after a layover with my parents-in-law. Instantly paired with the 1125 bracelet I bought thinking it would go nicely. My third moiré dial variant (missing the elusive burgundy version). I’m still puzzled by the different logo, but under a loupe it matches completely the Omega writing, no damage around dial, so I think it left the factory this way.

Needless to say: I love it.

I've joined the club, and I am not disappointed. Just picked up a seemingly all original 1966 168.017 with the skinny jet line indices and matching hands using the non-quicket 561 movement. The silver dial is very clean, though the grey light today makes it look flat and white. The case has a couple of battle scars but it is running well and looking good with the original finishes faintly in place.

@Boojumhunter The 1125 bracelet shown above looks good, what end links are those? Presumably not the 617 ones that fit the Straight lug speedmaster?
