Your version may be a smidge darker, but it could just be exposure settings. I'm still not sure if it's grey, olive, or brown; again, varies by ambient light. If pushed, my wife says olive. I've also noticed yours has almost gilt writing (perhaps to match the solid gold case), mine is more white/cream.
Joke aside they're probably the same under different lighting, with different shading, this is my theory, maybe their different aging changes them a bit too My gold/olive also has re-lume similar to kyorin's, which made me wonder whether they had the same owner at one point, but afaik I asked and it probably wasn't the case, I think 2-3 of my spots have been re-lumed, I'll share some pictures too when I get a better camera
I think they are probably the same tone and color, mine only appears a bit darker in that specific shot because of the lighting. The font color does seem to be different though, so you are probably right about it trying to match the gold case.
This is the funniest C-Case I've seen in a while, the diamonds and the white gold case to compensate for the short hands and the 752 within Just before I started collecting, like a month before, I saw a diamond dial C-Case, then a C-Case with a black date wheel, but ever since I started collecting, nada In this case it's probably a modified dial since the star has moved too, but I suspect there are better versions out there, original or not
Got it! I've been stalking this on eBay for the last week, and managed to get the high bid — making this my third fumé (moiré, gradient) dial variant with the yellow in the avatar and the grey/green. Leaving the elusive maroon as the grail...
I actually wished you'd discuss this one with me, that's why I kinda stalk-messaged you too, timed it with this auction, we could've discussed the logo Congrats, I hope it's original and I'm very curious about a hands-on analysis
Yeah, it's curious (and maybe wrong/replaced) but the heart wants what heart wants... I'm comfortable with 95%+ original in most of my watches; they're going to be used, rather than displayed/resold/put in a safe. And if I ever do a formal servicing, I might send it to Bienne to see if they can correct it if possible. I'll send more pics to the support group when it turns up! (Admitting it is the first step).
This was a sometimes piece by the previous owner so it’s been really looked after. funny story about this exact watch. The guy I got it from is a Facebook seller that I have dealt with so many times we have become mates. He was going overseas for a few weeks and needed a favour. He needed this omega and a black dial 6426 Rolex to the watchmaker we both use for service prior to selling. So I helped him out. I liked the Rolex so much I purchased it cost as he owed me a few favours and I decided to cash them in. 2 months later, he was selling this omega Connie. I saw it and got it from him for $1026 aud!!! All original and all clean as, almost like new, well almost. so the two I took to help him out, ended up being mine eventually. They visited my house only to become permanent residents.
New Pickup! happy to join the gang! First impression, so comfortable! and the quickset pump date is such a cool feature!!
Good morning all. I’ve been researching c case Connies for a long time now, I have a quick question if I may...I notice some dials with lumed hands and markers don’t have the ‘T’s’ next to Swiss made, such as the one below. Is this just how they were? Many thanks
Thanks very much. I trust all looks fine with the dial pictured above? (From what I can tell it passes the MOY test and looks to be original).
