There's a rose gold C-Case-Pan on Catawiki! 😀

Pretty surprised there aren't more heretic combinations, at one point I was very tempted to put a blue spider Seamaster 60 dial in a C-Case after seeing the dial is compatible, luckily it got sold pretty fast and saved me, it was hard to control the urge 😁

Man that's a crisp watch! A C-cased Connie with a texture dial and a fluted bezel is grail watch territory for me. I really shouldn't be reading this thread as I'm trying my best to avoid purchasing new pieces... Oh well, time to put on my Omega Cosmic as C-Constellation replacement therapy. As always, Cosmic reduces cravings, but the pain remains.

Dilemma as to which thread to post this to, but the aficionados here win... this was just returned to me from a service by Paul at electric-watches.co.uk. I love the c-cases, and when @kaplan piqued my interest on the (mainly Japanese) electronic versions, I had to get one. This was cheap through eBay, but needed some work. Even with the service, still a bargain. 198.741, larger at 37mm, 20mm lug width, and I had an older sharkskin Omega strap to increase the bling factor even more. I love the sweeping of the electronic second hand. Very happy boy. (There's another one with an original bracelet sitting at my parents-in-law in the US for me to pick up when I can).

Yours is very nice. I previously posted my 1972 cal 1250 198.741 on this thread in November.

I was a little frustrated by it until I found the right battery but it’s surprisingly comfortable for a larger watch.

First post here,

I just picked up a 168.056 with the case a bit worse for wear and a scratch in the mineral glass crystal, but the dial was nice and the price was right so I couldn't pass it up.

Does anyone know the crystal thickness on these later generation cal.1011 C-cases?

I know there are polarised views about Hodinkee sales, but golly this is nice... white gold with matching bracelet. Definitely in my grail short list, and even at the price I'd be considering it if it wasn't for the pandemic and another major purchase coming up...

I guess I'm comparing to a white gold Rolex Day-Date, which you couldn't get for this price. We, as Omega-lovers, always say they're undervalued, right? But maybe I've drunk too much of the Kool-ade.

My below $600 gang, I got too cocky after this and missed some opportunities:

And a rando day/date:

Does anyone know if the case dimensions change for the later C cases that hold the 1011 and 1020 movements? as these movements are about half a mm thinner than the 57x movements that preceded them.

Case dimensions change but I never tried whether they hold each others movements, probably not

But the lug cutout dimensions are the same

Don't know if this has been shared before, but just saw a FS ad, about an odd Connie which popped up on my feed. It's a 18k gold 'Kim Il-Sung' dial Omega Constellation. Had never seen anything like it before, except a similar one to @DrSpock intervention here...
