I went day date, as not too many watches have it. The price of the equivalent Rolex Day-Date from the same era is enormous in comparison. Also all knurled bezels on the C-case are white gold, the smooth is steel. The internal cyclops is also a fun option, but quite rare. I ended up with this:
Here's an incredible time capsule complete set on the 'bay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Omega-...utomatic-Chronometer-w-Omega-Box/163429787247Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Same here, on both counts. I don't care for day/dates in general, but I'd make an exception for the grey Connie-C. Art
Ok, can we please clarify the distinction between the different reference numbers? 168.029: day and date, fluted bezel 168.019: day date with smooth bezel 168.027: date only with fluted bezel 168.017: date only with smooth bezel
also 168.009 (sometimes double stamped with 168.017), first reference of the c-case that I think only had the smooth bezel and caliber 561. and I don’t if you want to include the later 168.0056 with cal 1011.
I think the bezels are white gold, or they are on the women's version, so potentially more expensive, more to go wrong with a 751 but it is an Omega at peak Omega quality in the late 60's so its choice really. Shame there was not a non date version in the C case connie, the 712 is very much thinner
Yeah, I wonder what the difference is between 168.017 and 168.009? They both have the 564 movement, but it looks like the .009's are gold?
