So how do you suggest one would get into watches? Is there only one particular way to discover the world of watches that I am unaware of?
Think about it this way, you're a car guy. But you can only afford a regular C class Mercedes. Nothing wrong with that. But you just can't afford the AMG, not yet. But one day, you can. Are you not going to buy the AMG this time just because you have already had the regular C class?
It's funny that every example I've seen here from other brands is exactly what Rolex does with Tudor and definitely not what Omega is doing with Swatch. Food for thought 😀 Slightly lower price point, some design queues from the bigger brother, but not an actual replica with all the branding of the bigger brother.
Why doesn't Mercedes put C63s and Mercedes badging on the Smarts?
PS: I'll be very curious to see the influencers outside of the watch world that will actually care about this and, furthermore, what sort of response they'll get from their followers.
