If anyone is interested.. all the astronauts were wearing x33s.
Some pretty close up 'in your face' shots of the watch

I noticed that. It has been on a premium channel this week. Those space movies just suck you in. A smart guided bomb could go through my front door and I would still watch it

One of the best space movies I've seen in a while is Moon. If you've seen it, you know what I'm talking about

Moon is a great film. You've just reminded me to watch it again.

Folks always say "never heard of it", then they see it and come back and it's always the same. Early confusion coming together into a really interesting and stressful experience.

Gravity remains the best realistic space film though. It was gorgeous

:) I object to use of the word realistic to describe the film gravity. Gorgeous is ok though...

I agree - the physics was all messed up in that film...

A better title for the film would have been "Inertia" but even then they had a lot wrong...

Or The Law of Angular Momentum

but it was supposed to be a visually interesting film. If we made films about the real nasa these days, they'd just loop 2hrs of footage of the mars rover control room. It's pretty boring stuff daily.

Neil Degrasse Tyson agrees with you...he pointed out many faults with the physics in this movie on Twitter.

It's just entertainment, but it would have been nice if it was more accurate. The scene where Clooney floats away is particularly puzzling and inaccurate...

It's OK for me if a movie takes liberties with reality, including the laws of physics.

With the exception of course, that watches should be accurately portrayed.:)
