Meet the Omega × Swatch Speedmaster MoonSwatch. A watch made of bioceramic (a unique mix of two-thirds ceramic and one-third material derived from castor oil) that looks very similar to the famous and iconic Moonwatch by Omega. As we’re pretty fond of Speedmasters ourselves here at Fratello, let’s have a look at this new MoonSwatch […]

At $260USD and unlimited production I really like this, if you’ve got younger kids who aren’t ready for an Omega yet this is an awesome gift for them too. I think I’ll be getting one of these myself but I reckon every kid of a Moonwatch owner is going to get one these for a birthday present too at some point.

I’m so glad this isn’t limited, I’m sure some people will try to scalp them early but just be patient and let supply catch up so you don’t pay over MSRP.

Despite being annoyed that I can't get one, I like how they are making it a pain for resellers. Nothing is worse than having bots buy every single one of them and then control the supply.

When supply catches up I'd like to get one. Notice how they said "for now" when talking about where to buy. These will be available online eventually.

I'd like to think that is the case. I have no Swatch boutique near me.

I can’t believe I’m saying “boutique” for Swatch but I called a couple and it’s in person only. Was told starting Saturday morning.

Are you sure it's unlimited?
RJ replied on the Fratello article that it is definitely not limited, its a regular production model

I want one. No store near me, I don't think. Help out a brother! Red one as pictured would be my first choice.

Call me a stick in the mud, but they're nothing I would wear.

I like them.
Touch young for me. ( If I was 20 and Instagram trendy 😗 )

But smart marketing for getting young ones into watches instead of Apple Watches 👍

Not sure I like the idea of this, especially with large variety that they are going to produce.
Will just have to see how it works out.

Like a lot. No swatch shop within thousands of kms of me so unobtainable 🙁
I’m fine though plenty of real Speedmasters in my collection can’t see myself having wrist time for these. Not a quartz fan either.

Great idea and awesome looking.

Why did we spend thousands of pounds on an Omega, so they put the name on a plastic Swatch watch?

I wonder what they are smoking in Omega headquarters?

Hmmmm it's also not plastic. It's bioceramic according to the helpful write-up. Also I don't see a problem with it. Nice entry level and heck it gets people of a younger generation interested in the lineage of the Speedmaster.

This is definitely on my "what the heck will people think of these in ten years - will we remember these in ten years??" list.
