Strategy for Omega snoopy hunting?

Hi everyone,

I am looking for advice on finding a 2015 Snoopy - I'm aware these watches are quite rare (although perhaps no more rare than other limited anniversary watches) and relatively expensive. Besides chrono24 and ebay hunting, I am not sure how to gauge an accurate market price for a watch like this. Hard for me to tell if the prices online are inflated as these are not selling, or if these accurately reflect market prices.

Any advice is welcome!

Look for sold items instead of asking prices, preferably in auction settings. It can take a lot of work, but that's really the only way. Otherwise, just go with your gut. Sometimes, if you really want something, you have to pry it out of the owner's hands.

If you find one on C24 that you like and has a 'Suggest a Price' option, make an offer. Looks like they are still in the $40k to $45k range, I don't think you will make a deal for much less than that, these are still massively sought after. I'd like to have one but can't justify the price.

Hi,

I do have a white Snoopy 45th Anni (and both other versions as well) and I am the first owner (full set without hangtag) … if you are interested to buy face to face in Germany or Austria, let me know 😎

Instead I am looking for an original BA145.022 🔎

The number one best way to find a watch you're looking for.

Road trip! Depending on the price you could book a cheapie ticket to Germany and do the deal with a well known forum member and still have a good deal. You never know.

Why are these so expensive? I don't see anything particularly special about them. The 50th Anniversary Snoopy seems more unique than these. I must be missing something.

So many beautiful watches! Quite a few of those I would love! I'm actually going to be in Austria in a few weeks, but alas, I just bought a Speedmaster (the new white one 😀 ) so I can't really buy one anytime soon.

Yes, you are missing the big picture with the 2015 Snoopy.

Thanks. I'll show myself to the door...

It's not that rare anyway. A lots for sale only on C24.

It's part snobbery, part investment. So the stupid prices.

Really? 1,970 pieces made, and right now 15 listed on C24 (<1%).

Lots of consumer items are based on snobbery and posing. Whether a price is stupid or not depends on the individual.

I don't consider a watch you can buy like a coffee just ordering on a web site has rare. 17 on C24 and many on others sites. If one has envy and budget, he gets one for next week. Pricy ok. Rare ?...

For the price, I do consider 30k for that totaly stupid. But indeed, not my money.

15 or 17 on C24, means that only one dealer actually has one... the others are hoping to sell, and if they do, then they'll buy it from the guy that actuality has it.

Most of those "dealers" don't actually have much of any inventory. Kinda like Jomashop.

Austria is beautiful this time of year. What's a $2K plane ticket, if you're buying a $45K watch?

100% Most of the sellers on Chrono have to source the watch.

I've contacted a few on chrono and they mentioned the same, they don't have the watch. It's much more rare than some people are giving it credit for.

Can't you filter for sellers that have the item in stock?

Oh definitely - they're there; I'm just saying not every single listing on chrono has a watch on hand.
