Has anyone who was able to place a deposit for the Omega snoopy 50th anniversary edition received their allocation in 2021 in the US? Thanks.

I was told the US boutiques stoped taking deposits when they reached 1900. Many who put down $10000 last year are still waiting. The Paul Thorpe theory that flippers will be driven away if they have to leave BBC a $10000 deposit for a year being tested by Omega?

No link between deposits and deliveries in the US. Boutiques in So Cal have delivered a few to their regular customers.

And when we made this 100% deposit, the boutique manager said April delivery, and said it could be used as a store credit to buy a 321 or another omega of our choice. That’s 1900 deposits x10k /deposit = $19 million taken from consumers in exchange for a rapidly yellowing thermal paper receipt, and empty promises. It’s the old bait and switch. People who can’t put down a deposit should thank their lucky stars.

Eh, more like 'typical for Omega in the US these days'

The thing to remember is omega boutiques don’t do discounts so the store credit thing is very injurious because most of their watches loose 30% as soon as you walk out of the store. There are a few exceptions to this trend, but if all of those are as unobtainable as the snoopy, it’s a robbery plain and simple.

Nope, nothing has changed in the last 5 minutes...

Majority of US buyers with deposits won't be receiving until 2022 at the earliest.

Based on the past limited releases, if you have a deposit, you will get your watch. I wouldn't worry about it. The timing of the delivery is anybody's guess. Boutiques have very little information and managers are not plugged into Omega production plans. They just give us the standard message - if you want to use for funds for any other model, you are welcome to... if you want a refund, no questions asked etc. Supplies are being tightly managed by the HQ and boutiques cannot definitively predict the timing of any delivery.

For a company that sells hundreds of thousands of watches each year, deposits on 1900 watches are a drop in the bucket. It is very unlikely that they would risk their brand reputation for such a small amount of money. I genuinely believe that they are trying (emphasis on trying) to allocate these watches for their regular collectors first and keep them out of the hands of flippers. I am sure they will eventually get to folks with shorter purchase histories and deposits. Not sure if they will continue producing after they deliver to everyone with a deposit.

Deposit on a particular watch is not really a store credit situation. You have the flexibility to use it towards anything else or get your money back. It is a simple process. I don't know what your experience has been with your boutique and I can't speak for the individuals over there but in general, boutiques are not pushy. They don't play games. One email or a phone call and they will return your money. It is a pain-free experience.

I just got on the list at an OB. They tell me 2+ years, but I didn't have to put down a deposit. I won't lose sleep either way.

Wow, you have pretty bad feelings for Omega.
You could get your deposit refunded and be happy (If you ever placed one).
It would take just an email or a quick phone call.
They are very efficient and fast with returning your deposit.
I would suggest to go for it, maybe you can find another reference that you like better and that is readily available.
It will be a win win situation.
Think about it.

Yep, and Boston Bert accused me of being judgemental. Boston Bert, just get your deposit back and don’t attack the brand. They are doing a decent if imperfect job of trying to allocate these watches to clients who care and will wear it with pride.
