Strange behavior of Tresor

My Tresor got a strange bug: some time after winding an hour hand stops moving. Meanwhile the minute and seconds hands continue to move to the end of the spring charge and show exact time
This watch has been with me for exactly 7 years.
I will bring it to SC but interested to know what type of damage is this. Has anyone else experienced such phenomena?

I suppose that in this case the hour hand will not move at all. But is moves several hours before unpredictable stop.

Hour wheel failure...not an uncommon issue in the models that have quick set hours.

Minimizing the amount you flip through the hours to set the date can be helpful to prevent this, so if it's fewer days to turn the hour hand backwards than forwards, that is a good strategy...

Thanks… Does this mean at least changing the hour wheel, not counting the general adjustment and lubrication?

Yes, it will be changed as part of the service.

It’s a beautiful dial I really like it. Don’t see many modern waffles.

I’m definitely guilty of it, but this is a perfect example of the fact that Tresors deserve more love. There are some BEAUTIFUL ones out there, just like this one. Glad it’s back home.
