United States. That being said, just go to the reputable sellers here and ask them if they can access a specific piece. They probably can. @Kringkily is a very good start.

I'm in Michigan now and just in sommerset if they don't have a specific piece they can get it for me. The GMT Pepsi and Daytona excluded.
At retail price? There are lots of sports models here in uk on gray market but you will pay over list, my dissatisfaction is with Rolex ADs

I can’t speak for the price of any specific seller, that’s for you to inquire. For sure a gmt or a daytime will be inflated.

The ad here does find them if you ask. What are you looking for specifically that you can’t find?

Similar stories in NJ as those above. Besides the opposition to shipping (which I haven’t heard yet, but I believe it), it’s amazing that having the ability to pay full price for a luxury item isn’t enough to buy the item.

Hard to think of other items where it’s the same. A Porsche dealer wouldn’t decline selling you a Porsche if you hadn’t bought 3 or 4 of them there already.

Scarcity trumps all, I guess.
Ferrari would, and do......limited editions only seem to go to owners with Ferrari collections...

Wait - so you can't just walk into a boutique and walk out with a steel Submariner? I thought this waitlist thing only applied to the Daytonas...

They are discontinuing the 40 mm submariner line.

Where did you get this information?

Last few Rolex boutiques I have been to in the last 6 months it’s been comical how little stock they have. Sydney airport only had 3 men’s watches on display.
Hawaii had only a few more.

Yes because they are starting to not sell over list on the grey market.

I predicted this.

How long before gray market dealers realise they’re not shifting said overpriced models and drop the prices? And if so then what would Rolex do...... start supplying more to they’re ADs? Or just leave as is?

My guess is, in about 6 months we will see a small ramp up and models will start to be in stock. First Subs then GMT bae models. The Daytona will stay constrained.

Hey there
Recently I was was on a quest to obtain a SS Explorer 2. The Holy Grail to me was the latest Polar face.
Here in Canada it has been difficult to find stock as well, and I was lucky enough
To secure the services of a professional watch finding service to finally track
A 2019 Black faced model. This was a pre-owned worn very sparingly,
Mint condition example. It’s been just a few weeks and I am totally in love with this watch and will wear it for a very long time. Point is I was very fortunate to find one...and would certainly be waiting on a list to acquire a new ss model.
It’s a strange market indeed.

I ordered a Datejust 36, 126234, today with white gold bezel. Probably before X-mas but no guarantee 😲 A SS DJ 41 at my local AD is a year waiting time. Anyway, I am looking forward to it 😀

I followed an online auction in the UK at the weekend and ALL Rolex pieces went well above RRP. £17,000 for the new BLNR. £15,000 for the Oyster BLNR. £13,000 for a 2017 deep Blue and so on. So I don't see a slow down on the Rolex train just yet.... However much it's wished for.

Stopped by the largest Rolex AD chain in metro Chicago today. Spoke to one of the managers. Basically, for the Pepsi GMT, new Batman GMT, ceramic Daytona’s and Sub Hulk there are no real lists. The supply they get is so small that they contact their highest spending customers and offer the watches to them first. Obviously they are purchased quickly. He mentioned that Rolex just isn’t producing many of these sought after watches. He advised I might be able to purchase my ceramic Daytona in about five years. A couple of months ago I stopped at one of their other locations and they were very blunt telling me if I purchased a two plus carat diamond (high quality) for my wife, I could probably see a a Pepsi GMT in a couple months. Unfortunately for me, I purchased a rather nice diamond for my wife a few years ago from a non Rolex AD a couple of years ago.

Well, having thought I was on their list these past two years for my ceramic Daytona, while waiting I have purchased three Omega, one LE Ulysse Nardin and Tudor watches. In any event, I will wait and enjoy my black sub, Hulk and Explorer II along with my Omega, Tudor and Ulysse Nardin watches.

I mentioned before, both of my AD saved me some misery by telling me this same info a year ago, so that I didn't keep my hopes up by my thinking that there is a "real" list for the ceramic Daytona...

And that’s the correct way to go about things - be honest with the customers and manage their expectations.

Drives me nuts all this false hope and smarm. A local dealer to me continually told me two years back that I’d definitely see a Batman in time for my big birthday despite my best efforts to get them to be honest with me. Last time around I even said very nicely ‘are you sure as I’ll be disappointed if I wait for a watch I’m never going to get’. Yeah yeah yeah they said.

Big birthday been and gone. If only they had been honest with me I’d still be a customer.
