You had the luxury of even sleeping? Lucky you.

It's a pretty solid watch, but as others have noted, I would prefer if it could hack. I would also like it if the edges of the case were slightly chamfered on the back of the case. It's a bit sharp on the current version. I've noticed this shift on other modern Omegas as well. If you look at the back of a modern Aqua Terra, for example, it's a fairly sharp edge between the side of the case and the back.

Well o'course we ad it touff.

We used to af to get oop at 10 o'clock at night, alf an our before we went to bed.
Then we ad to go down to the dealer and wait outside for word of the new limited edition Omega, daay in and daay out.
While begging for any old discarded 321 parts left over from a service.
AND pay the Omega dealer for the privilege.

Then when we got home, our father would smash all the old watches in the ouse that he could find in the bottom of the draws, if we came home empty handed and e'd murder ous in cold blood by stabbing ous with an old Springbar removal tool.

If that weren't bad enough.
Our wicked stepmoother that worked part time sweeping and licking the floors clean(with er toong) at the Rolex dealer, would dance about on our graves singin allelooya.

Better water resistance, too many variations/models of it, and it could use a date

I've had more hand winding watches than I can remember and the later Speedmasters with crown guards, at least for me and many others it seems, are more difficult to wind. Does it make them a pain in the butt? Not entirely, but I find it more difficult to get a good grip on the crown than on other watches. Just enough so that's it's noticeable to me. I like to use the full surface of the side of my index as illustrated by @wagudc . Simply using the fingertips? A minor annoyance IMO but an annoyance nevertheless.
I think a lot of this has to do with the crown design. I feel that my Speedy Tuesday 1 is much easier to wind in general as the ridges on the crown seem to be more sharp.

We used to dream of having a shovel.

Who needs a shovel to play in the mud?

God, did I start all this? Serves me right.

3. I bought the ST2 Ultraman, love the look, very readable. This one I've hardly worn simply because it's one of my highest 'value' watches and I hate to wear something that makes me worried rather than simply enjoying it. Hence it's up FS...

I'll have you all know that I'm sitting on my Fisher Space Pen as I type. The one my parents gave me for Christmas. In 1969, in celebration of the first landing. It still works.

After reading this and reflecting on my early post suggestions on minor "tweaks", I've reconsidered. It is possible to nit-pick any watch. Remembering that this has been the watch that NASA has issued since 1965 with only minor production changes and has served faithfully and meaningfully (Remember Apollo XIII?). It is a piece of viable, living history that you can still purchase and wear on your wrist every day. It is of high quality and durability and works well. So, all things considered, it ain't broke, so don't fix it. Just leave it as it is!

Any of the speedmasters after edwhite are too damn big for my small wrists. But I love how they look. Its a shame
There is a 38mm Speedmaster solution, and especially on a a deployant strap, it has been a real delight, and amazingly accurate.

Same feeling from my point of view: the crisp ridges help a lot.

Totally agree about the waterproof but dates are a pain to set if you don't wear the watch every day.

They need to fix the bracelet on the moonwatch... Other than that the watch is perfect 😀

I love mine. Only thing I find bothersome is the winding, still, but if my hands worked properly I'd get over it. May eventually move it on for an auto version for that reason alone. Otherwise it's nigh-on perfect for me.
