Needs more water resistance

Don’t see why. You can swim and shower with it so what more does it need?

It’s an irritation but the second hand stopped at 12 confuses me in the night! I now just leave the chrono running. I’ve also fitted the 6 position micro adjust clasp which transforms the comfort of this watch.

Tachymetre bezel... each Speedmaster should come with an extra bezel (60 minutes) option instead of a large box with goodies 😗

What is the 6-position clasp you used? Did you get it at an Omega dealer? Is there an Omega part number? I’m in between sizes on removing bracelet links and the two micro-adjustments - just one more little adjustment hole on the stock clasp and it would be perfect.
Also, I join the ranks of guys who wish the Speedmaster crown was a tiny bit bigger, especially on a watch that must be wound every day. I can barely get a pinch on it. But I love it and wear it every day.

So far the only thing the irks me is the small hard to wind crown. It's too small for my fingers and I cant grip it good. It's a pain to wind...that's all.
It is a bit small, but c'est la vie. Winding it once every 24 hours (when I choose a Speedy to wear) doesn't seem a big deal to me.

I have 4 Speedy's, and each is quite different.

1. I modified my first standard Speedy with the Apollo 11 35th anniversary dial. I love the look of dial and hands but it is not easy to read the time. I don't wear it often, but it looks great when I do! (here it was on a visit to Sydney)

2. I bought a 2nd Speedy modified with the Gemini IV dial, hands and bezel. Another stunning watch for looks, also not easy to read the time.

3. I bought the ST2 Ultraman, love the look, very readable. This one I've hardly worn simply because it's one of my highest 'value' watches and I hate to wear something that makes me worried rather than simply enjoying it. Hence it's up FS...

4. My original dial left over after the mod was a little too 'clinical' looking with bright white dial markings. This problem was easy to solve with a trip to James Hyman the re-lumination master. I found a movement that was nicely serviced and restored to proper condition by a master watchmaker, when put together with a service case and bezel, it became the most wearable and lovely watch in my collection!

Et Voila! Perfect watch, who cares about the winding effort! 😁 😎

I don't like all the complications.

We'd have been happy with a wooden one.

Paradise.

Best we could manage, were a leaky old wooden pale that we used to cart water in for the household from way down at the creek.
It ad great big leaks in the bottom and a roosty handle made out of a piece of old fencing wire that used to cut into our hands.
Then, when we were finished carting the water.
All 26 of us had to share the pale whenever nature called to dig holes with it in the freezing cold lumps of dirt near the side of the motorway where we lived in a cardboard box.

I can barely bring myself to say this as it’s hardly a negative; I love the speedmaster line. For me it’s slightly too big.

I do have fairly large wrists, that make 36mm look too small, but the sweet spot for me is 39-40mm. Just my personal taste. So I buy more CK2998 variants because of this.

Whilst it looks totally fine on my wrist, it looks very large on others. But I totally get the requirement for a large dial when astronauts had to have good legibility when hurtling through the atmosphere with all the vibrations that go on etc.

The reduced isn’t quite the same.

I was so poor growing up, if I were not a boy I would have had nothing to play with!
