When I refer to the inner lug, I am referring to the area pdxleaf highlighted above. I would expect to see a clear delineation between where the brushed surface of the upper lug transitions into the inside wall of the lug (where the spring bar hole is). In the image below, the red arrow shows where one would expect to see that clean delineating line (some examples I've seen are not that sharp/clean, but the line is is usually visible on a watch that hasn't been overly messed with). I've included an image on the right (credit to @ndgal and his excellent study on Speedmaster case variants) that clearly shows the "line" I am referring to. If you don't see that line at all, you know the watch has been (over) polished.
