Speedmaster questions

Hi again,

I have some questions regarding this Speedmaster. The lume seems green which is probably, or could be, correct for a -71 Speedmaster, it could be a step dial but thats something I’m hoping for. I’m going to see the watch tomorrow in person, is there anything particular I should look for? The price is €3000.

At first glance, I get a good feeling about the case. The lume also looks intact, which is a good sign. As you mentioned, the greenish tint can certainly be ok. I can't tell whether the dial has a step from that photo unfortunately. It will be nice if you can get a good look at the dial in natural light to judge the condition.

That could be a fair asking price for a nice -71, but it's not cheap enough to take a big risk on IMO. So hopefully you will get to check the inside of the case-back and serial number.

I will definitely take a closer look in person before I purchase the watch. Also, I hope the owner will let me take a look inside the case back. If it matches with the expected serial and caseback I think it might be a god purchase.

The dial font is wrong for a 71 and the caseback looks like a much later replacement.

Didn’t see anything off with the font to be honest, what shows its wrong? And I’ll try to open the caseback when I take a look in person.
