And given you taste in watches, I’d have a look at the Seamaster 166.010 which will be slightly larger than your initial watch

Very nice!! I had no idea quite how many permutations there were over the years...

Others may have a different opinion but I’m a fan of the 552 (no date) and the 565 movements.

Both are (IMO) robust and reliable and comparatively easy and inexpensive to service and to source replacement parts for. The 565 date advance mechanism is very quick to use and reliable.

The 166.010 is a non-chronometer movement and 166.010s with a 565 are generally easier to find and cheaper to buy. The no date 165.010 is a little rarer.

If you go down this route, get the best dial you can afford.
