Speedmaster Caliber 321 Bracelet on 60th Anniversary Trilogy Speedmaster?

Did some searching on this but couldn’t find any information. Like many 60th Anniversary Speedy owners I am not so crazy about the wide bracelet and bulky clasp. Can anyone confirm if the Caliber 321 bracelet will fit the 60th Anniversary Trilogy Speedy? If so, can anyone provide the part number for the 321 bracelet? Both have 19mm lugs and are based on the first generation Speedmaster case so I want to be cautiously optimistic.
On a side note, I do have the Forstner flat link paired with Uncle Seiko 19mm end links. It’s a nice combo on the 60th but it’s hard to beat the feel of a modern Omega bracelet.

If you had the rear view photos of the above you’d see that there is a locating lip on the Ed White bracelet not present in the Trilogy. It might fit but it won’t fit as well as on the EW as the corresponding groove in the case isn’t present on the Trilogy. This is a problem with all the current Speedmaster bracelets when considering fitting them to older designs. Some who have tried with the 20mm versions live with the slight downward link this introduces so the end link and say ‘it fits’, others give it up since it’s clear it doesn’t really.

Yes, I understand what you are saying. The 321 end link does appear to have a lip that seems to sit flush where the case back and mid case meet. The 60th appears to have slightly less “ledge” area where the case back and mid case come together. Maybe the exhibition case back on the 321 has a slightly smaller outer diameter than the solid case back on the 60th. If this is the case, it wouldn’t be a 1 to 1 fit...but it might be close enough to be workable with some minor modification to the end link.

In this photo you can see the lip on the 321 end link that appears to sit flush with the case back:

Here you can more clearly see the ledge where case back meets the mid case on the 321.

The 321 does not appear to have the groove or cutout that exists on the Apollo 11 50th Anniversary model:

There looks like slightly less “ledge” on the 60th, maybe due to wider case back diameter:

It sounded like people were installing the Apollo 11 50th bracelet on regular speedmasters with some success. The main aesthetic issue seemed to be extra rotation in the end link due to the lip and lack of cutout groove on a conventional speedy case. The 321 end link has a lip, but no case groove that it has to fit into which leads me to believe that adapting a 321 bracelet to a 60th case could yield even better results than adapting the Apollo 11 50th bracelet to a regular Speedmaster case. I would be very tempted to try this depending on the cost of the bracelet. I heard the Apollo 11 50th anniversary bracelet was around $700 and I wouldn’t want to go much more than that.

The steel 321 ie Ed White reissue does have the groove, in fact you can see it in the first picture you posted above. You have also posted a pic of the platinum 321 watch which seems not to have the groove, this makes sense since there is no corresponding platinum bracelet. I wouldn’t be confident the notched bracelet will fit the Trilogy. It doesn’t look like there is much lip for it to rest on and if the end link is pulled down even a little it will be more obvious on the straight lug than on the Pro twisted lugs

Realized I made a mistake in my photo research. That second photo is the platinum 321, not the same as the steel 321. So it’s entirely possible the steel 321 does have the cutout groove like the Apollo 11 50th model. Can anyone verify?

You’re completely right, I realized I grabbed a photo of the platinum by mistake! If the steel model does have the groove then it probably would not be so easy to adapt. I’m definitely learning a lot about these case and bracelet variations!

A happy new year to everybody. I just wanna ask if somebody had experience or tested the Ed white bracelet on the 60th anniversary Speedmaster or Seamaster?

I know someone used it on the FOIS. The end links would not fit due to the lip as has been mentioned, but you can use the bracelet with the appropriate forstner/ US 19mm end links.

I assume the same combo would be workable on the 60th

Following this one.

I actually threw my 60th onto a BOR and have been wearing it like this for close to a year now.

If someone can confirm an Omega flat link end link/bracelet combination that works on the 60th I’d be a buyer.

As above - think you will need to mix and match

It does work, but the endlink fit is a little loose (likely due to the fact that the 60th case lacks the notches that normally secure the endlinks in place).

Fratello dropped this video today; it features the 60th on the Ed White bracelet:

Your bump reminded me ...

I did went ahead and ordered one for my 60th. It looks great despite having a bit of gap on the top.

I have no problem ordering from my AD and it arrived in just a few weeks. I will taking this over the 80k one!

This is a very nice bracelet. I have one on my trilogy Seamaster. I still want to see and try the Omega one though.

Looks great. Do you changed the endlinks?
