(i have no idea how come my photos come up as links, would be great if someone could advice how to change that)

Finally figured out why I couldn't post the photos, didn't realise that the threads here only allow photos smaller than a particular dimension, ANYWAY, uploaded with new shots added!

Anyway guys I would like to ask those of you out there with a 64, based on my own piece and all the others that you guys have posted here, I've noticed that all the tritium lume turns to a dirty brown/greenish shade. I'm curious, in MWO, I've noticed that many pieces (especially the 65s, have the chrono hand lume turning to a deep orange shade, is that unique only to the 63s and 65s? Like I've noticed that for those pieces the lume on the chrono hand ages quite differently from the rest of the hands and dial. I have yet to see a 64 with an orangey chrono lume or such a situation? Anyone encountered before?

Mine is dirty brown/ black... I bought it from an estate of a one owner who wore it from when he bought it to when time was no longer of any relevance.... I have been using it for nearly 20 years. Have the credit card receipt somewhere and was a complete impulse buy...

Not my shot but there you go..... its a nice one (and I've owned a few) many people focus on the bevelled edge as the signifier but actually it can be quite easily put back by someone skills with a lapping machine, we saw this with the 'stock' 2915 at the Bonhams 50 sale. Having owned 20+ 2915, 2998, 105.002/3's I much prefer the lip on the non chronograph side of the case to help me identify an unmolested case

As my thread has show for years people have assumed that the 64's they owned were worn and ha lost their bevelled edge, not realising it was a one year only case design with no bevel 馃槈

OK, so it's been about a year and a half since this thread was active - enough time for this to be digested by the group, I think.

I wanted to bring it back with the question:

should we expect that all -64's should have these narrower, bevelless lugs? or are both the bevelled and non-bevelled accepted on a -64?

thoughts?

After reading this thread and looking at various -64's for the last year or so, I'd look at any bevelled case -64 with extreme scrutiny.

There are plenty of beveled/chamfered lug 64s around so I wouldn't write them off.

Let's assume you're correct, and put the question differently: are there any non-'64's without the bevels...that are original, and haven't had that anemic bevel polished off?
