I doubt they're actually sold out. There are plenty on chrono24, almost all below MSRP. Wait six months and they'll be plenty of them around. Look at the prices of "older" Bond watches. Do any of them actually hold their value?

I disagree. The 50th Ann is list price from watch finder and not below £3k in eBay. The Spectre LE is actually now above RRP

prob has to do with the holiday rush. Im sure in the next 12-18 months, there will be at least a dozen on the second hand market being sold at any given time.

But if you re-sell it does it hold value? That's the determining factor to me. The POLMLE for example held it's value, and still does for the most part, with second hand units seeing at over original retail. It's not quite as hot now that ceramic and LM are more used but still a remarkable value lifespan. Same for many Rolex as an example. Perhaps the 50 holds better than many, but most Bond LE do not.

As for the Spectre it's too early to tell, it's too fresh out of the oven, but I would be surprised.

True, the AT LE has already dropped but I think that's mainly because its 15007 pieces apose to the 7007 on the Spectre. The Spectre being the first screen worn LE I think will hold similar to the 50th in time.

Maybe. It's a good looking watch for sure and many many people don't really mind or know what the bezel is or isn't . Time will tell.

I agree although I must say the AT LE is my favorite 'at the moment' I adore the contrasting yellow and blue that is done so subtly.

Several different Bond wore Rolex. Connery (6538 or similar), Lazenby (5513), Dalton (16800) and I think Moore (5513 with saw crown) so plenty of choice

I think that there is a big difference between the pieces being allocated and being Sold...

"Sold" would suggest that it is in the hands of 7007 rabid Bond and Omega fans who would rather have needles drilled into their skulls than sell their watches... (which anatomically would not have done anything to change his memory - probably why it didn't... although I would have loved to see a post-credit scene with Bond in the ICU, receiving high doses of Rocephin and having gangrenous limbs removed due to the meningitis...)

If all 7007 are truly 'Sold out' that means that Omega S.A. has distributed all pieces to either boutiques, or Authorized dealers who have purchased them at 65% of MSRP...

You don't have to look too hard to see them for sale... and yes some (not the majority from what I've seen) are selling at or above MSRP... these are listed by people who have nothing more than a 65%MSRP stake in the watch.... when 'Spectre' leaves the cinemas... these sellers will be happy to move it at 66%MSRP and still pat themselves on the back for their profiteering ...

Don't let hype and panic dissuade you... anyone who wants this (and is willing to wait)...can have it...although the entire strategy here is to target the 'ID' or 'child-centred' part of the consumer's brain which just wants the Toy when it wants it... because really, how much fun will it be to have this watch when everyone else has forgotten about the movie...

5508 also for Lazenby, the "under-rated" Bond.

Agreed. Many of the previous LE's had interest because of the Bond connection, but this one has that PLUS the aesthetics are tough to argue with - simple, but elegant.

Dealer price is really 65% of MSRP?

Seems crazy considering the grey market prices you can find.

It would also mean I've even seen GSOTM and DSOTM from trusted forum sellers that are NIB with AD stamped cards, etc. that are below dealer cost.

Hell, even Rolex is less at 62%, but that helps explain why getting more than 10% at an AD is a minor miracle.

Getting discount at an AD is very simple - You ask for it, some are tight and give 10% and some will let you walk away with 25% off.

For instance, today I picked up a phone to a certain AD and pulled 22% off a FOiS which is BNIB, and if anyone wants a Spectre - I've 2 going. As much as I love the boutiques, and what they offer in terms of 'events' etc I would rather have the discount buy hey thats me, each to their own.

And getting it at a non AD is even easier, and you get a start point 25% on the same watches. You forego the omega warranty though, and get the shops instead
