Two people in this thread have mentioned GoldenEye, but then both posted the watch from every Brosnan movie except GoldenEye. 😜

Allow me to right this wrong with the actual GoldenEye reference 2541.80, the one that started it all.

Yes, it has the larger lume square by the date with it being quartz. Know when Goldeneye came out, the popularity sky rocketed, took Omega by storm and the rest is stroke a marketing genius. Anyone who grew up with 90s Bond watch as this, didn't matter quartz or mechanical, it looked identical.

It's also that the automatic version from TND onwards has additional text on the dial, since the GoldenEye is technically not a chronometer. I actually hadn't noticed the lume by the date is larger on the GoldenEye so I learned something new!

They're certainly both known as the Bond watch for sure. Stroke of marketing genius, completely agree.

My 2254 is the closest I have to a Bond watch, but I got the Bond pen. The Parker Jotter in stainless steel is a sleek and elegant pen and it is very comfortable to use. Oh yeah it CLICKS like in the movie.

Yeah, I have the pen too actually! Agreed, it is actually a really good, inexpensive pen, I'd be using it even without the movie connection. My local office supply store stocks them.

There is some mech SMP300 without the chronometer text. Date window is the only way to tell quartz or not in a picture.

While we speak wording, your Goldeneye as also not exactly the same text as the ones in the movie. Easy way is the shape of the 3. Symmetrical on yours.

Sold my NTTD, I will be looking for a Goldeneye or TND next year. I used to have the seiko from Octopussy, but wore it until it fell apart.

I bought this one in 2023. One of the buttons was not working so setting the watch was impossible.

I left it with the local jeweller who gave it top priority… ahem… just got it back today, nearly 3 years later.

I had forgotten about it. It works fine now but the calendar function only goes from 1970 to 2009.

1987 has the same calendar as 2026. So it’s back to my college days!

Bracelet needs a link or two. Nice to see that the one pictured with Bond is different.

I bet you can find that jubilee bracelet easier than the others shown.
