If you're looking for more salacious bath house scenes in movies, I can highly recommend Eastern Promises. 馃槣

I love seeing the SMPs on screen. Still such a great silhouette. The other example that comes to mind is Jeffrey Wright wears a 2226.80 in Westworld, which is no doubt his personal watch to commemorate his supporting role in Casino Royale. Makes absolutely no sense in the context of Westworld, but oh well. 馃槣

pretty sure he also wears a planet ocean in west world.

((EDIT: apparently he also wears a bond limited edition watch at some point.))

I rather see this as an acceptable piece of anachronism for this type of Science Fiction, since west world borders on cyberpunk, and in cyberpunk literature it's not uncommon for previous High Society items to make odd appearances (not to mention new tech/old tech dichotomy is common)

Yeah the 2226.80 is the Bond limited one. You're right about the PO, I think that appears in season two. Wright is definitely an Omega/Bond fan, pretty sure he has an NTTD as well at least. He may just be doing it because he was actually in those movies though heh.

Probably (hence the Bond limited). I haven't watched enough Westworld to know, but I have to think that the watch, and the switch of watches, plays into some of the greater significance going on around the character?

It's been a while for me too, but I don't think so. He wears the SMP in season one, which is largely indoors and high tech, then he wears the PO in season two, which is very outdoorsy. Looks like this has (unsurprisingly) been covered already, heh.

A commenter in that thread claims the PO was a gift from EON and is engraved, so I would guess both of his watches were gifts for his work on Bond and probably hold sentimental value. I'm surprised the costume designer was okay with the Bond limited edition. I'd imagine on the 4K BluRay there would be scenes where the 007 logo on the seconds hand is visible. Westworld had such amazing attention to detail in the early seasons.

It's possible they asked him to change it for season two, or he just chose to change it himself. Given the change of scenery for his character, the PO was for sure more appropriate.

Sorry to derail this a bit, but OP hasn't been on the forum since 2021 so I imagine they're okay with it. 馃榿

I remember reading a theory that the switch and watches had something to do with the looping nature of westworld, and was likely intended. Unfortunately, I have not watched enough of the show to know and have done my best to avoid spoilers

It's been years but I don't think so. I'll avoid spoilers if you still intend to watch the rest, but for that theory to hold, I think the SMP would also need to be present at points in season 2 and I don't think it is. I could be wrong, but I'm reasonably confident.

I could see the presence of a watch versus no watch could be an indicator though. But as I say, it's been years, I don't remember in that level of detail.

I've considered rewatching season one and two. One is undeniably the best, and I still quite liked two for the most part. It dips a fair bit in quality after that, I didn't enjoy three at all and didn't watch four. I think they could have reduced scope and made it an all time classic two season story.

I've never watched Westworld, but your description above could have been written by me about Stranger Things word-for-word.

I鈥檓 pretty sure that if push had come to shove, both of them would have bottled it. There were precious bouffants at stake.

We also had squabbling celebs, here in the UK. Most notably Robbie Williams and Liam Gallagher. In contrast to Van Damme/Segal, Willams and Gallagher were far from alpha male status. More somewhere near the end of the Greek alphabet.
Do you mean Omega? Is that the opposite of being Alpha? 馃槱馃槱 I`m going to sell my Omega and get this:
