What are your thoughts on this?

KS Special 5245-6000. Seems to be a small mark on the dial and marks on the edge of the dial - can they be fixed?

The edges of these white KS and GS dials are prone to paint loss and corrosion. It's possible to restore this, but if you are hoping that you can just clean the marks off - don't.

Okay, the 4420-9990 arrived today. Honestly, I didn't realize it was gold-capped, from the photos. It looks a damn sight better than the listing photos. Need to get to my loupe and check out the dark spots. They don't look like worn plating
Last post on this watch. Whatever the spots were, they came off easily with my jeweler's rouge.
I think this was an unexpected score.

Here's a 1969 Lord Matic 5606-5000 from the Suwa Seikosha factory. Got it on auction site, pretty much in this state. All I did was find a NOS crystal and had the old scratched crystal replaced. Quickset for the 5606 is notoriously flimsy. On this one, quickset works, and despite the mysterious service history (as far as I am concerned, it's never been serviced), it still keeps such great time.

And I really love the 1970s Japanese businessman look.

And the speedheads are getting all excited by a bit of red on the seconds hand? Pfft.... For real colour you have to go Seiko....

Hard to show, but the 7A28-703A on the right is sunburst slate blue with yellow highlights.

Lucky chance. Bought 6 7A28s and 7 7A38s in 2 job lots at a coin auction in Sydney ("7 Seiko quartz chronographs, none running" all they needed was batteries). Slightly embarassingly, my Seiko count is now a little over 30, but can't persuade myself to part with any of them.

The 7A28 along with the King Quartz are some of my favorite quartz watches ever made

My brand new 775 loses 20 seconds everyday! Its only a couple months old so is under warranty. But I guess I dont want to trouble myself with shipping it to Seiko for adjusting it. What would you do ?
Take it back whence you bought it?
