Okay, so its the Omega Forum. We all love them and own far more of them than we'll admit to. But! I've notice we all seem to have a Seiko somewhere in our pasts, the hundred dollar diver, that skeleton in the closet, the fat girl friend that was so much fun when you were 17 but that you've since hidden the photos of, the horrible first car or motorcycle you won't ever admit to now.......... So out with 'em guys. Drag them out and snap a picture. Lets see your Seikos! Notice you never throw out the photo of that old girl friend..........
im not ashamed to tell that my 1st Seiko was a blue titanium Samurai... ... i was younger then and we had lots of fun ;o)
Seikos ain't so bad as long as they tick. Way back before I carried a cell phone and didn't sit a computer for a significant part of my day I actually used a watch as a way to tell time. Quartz Seikos were the bomb; they were affordable to a guy early in a career and some were quite stylish. I have a few in a drawer around here somewhere probably within a few seconds of being correct since I last changed the batteries... I keep casting longing glances at Kings and Grands but I'll buy a 5 for a beater.
I'm down at the beach for three weeks and all of my Seikos are at home so I'll have to use stock pics. Here's one that may pop up a bit later
To fit in with a few other Vietnam era watches I've collected, this 1971 6105 will be joining my collection in Feb 2016. Cheers, Buster
I acquire a Seiko, I give it to our son. He deserves them! A number of years ago, I was keeping junker watches running for him, but he kept wrecking them! So I gave him a watch he couldn't wreck..........................or so I thought. It was a Rolex Air-King. I took it back after six months. He broke the stem, crystal, rotor post, and bracelet. I rescued it. Now he wears Seikos and T_ _ _ x!
Bought my son a Citizen. Figured a hunnert Bucks was no big deal if he ends up not wearing it. My go to jewelry store no longer stocks Rolex or Omega only Seiko. I've not priced them but some nice looking watches.
