I am wearing this one since 2000.
Unfortunatelly the rotor inside is bent and touching the movement, Seiko doesnt deliver spare parts for this movement anymore, so i need a donor watch to replace it.

This is the puppy that started it all, my obsession with a handsome watch. Still have it, great condition and still runs great. Will wear on occasion.

I bought this the other day for not a lot of money as I want to see how a 34mm X 7mm watch sits on my wrist before looking for a vintage Omega. Just waiting for it to arrive....

Hmmm. It looks great on its own. Looks okay(ish) in the photo but in real life, it looks tiny. Very tiny. Maybe it’s just me. I might have to wear it for a week or longer to see if I can get used to a watch that size. But then again, if I do get used to it, will my other watches seem like monsters?

You've got a 7T34 and you've got an obsession?

Took mine hiking over the mountains in Corsica. We both survived but my big toenail didn't make it...

What are your thoughts on this?

KS Special 5245-6000. Seems to be a small mark on the dial and marks on the edge of the dial - can they be fixed?

My brand new 775 loses 20 seconds everyday! Its only a couple months old so is under warranty. But I guess I dont want to trouble myself with shipping it to Seiko for adjusting it. What would you do ?

Any local Seiko stores near you? There are a bunch near me. Mom and pop Asian immigrants normally, normally they have a watchmaker on site.

Otherwise a simple time correction can be handeled by any watch maker.

Hi @Foo2rama I live in a small town which doesnt have any watch stores.

I must tell you however that you are the reason I bought this watch 😀.You posted a massdrop deal about SKX which I almost bought (we talked on PMs) but then decided against it coz it dint have warranty.
By then I was so obsessed with it that I had to have one. The 775 was an obvious upgrade plus it costed me only $200 brand new with all the deals and promotional codes. Thank you.

My and my wife’s late 90’s vacation watches surfaced again. SKX037.

SKX 031 not 037, AKA 7S26-0040 which where cheaper and slightly smaller then the SKX 007. Oddly while cheaper they have a better dial and bezel then the 007/009. While 40mm not 42 like its bigger brother they both share 22mm straps. There is also a Pepsi SKX 033 out there.

(Courtesy https://www.fratellowatches.com/tbt-seiko-skx031-diver/ ) and a great read

In case you are not aware of how the dial is better... These have applied hour markers vs printed. The bezel is much better looking and made then the 007 bezel which if you own one know it does not quite match the rest of the watch. Over all these share the same movement as the 007/009 in a Rolex Sub like case size, but appear much higher quality in hand due to the upmarket differences on the originally cheaper watch.

KIller pieces also called the Seiko Submariner.

Dibs on the one on the right. And I want to mod it with a 007 second hand... Or buy a 31 dial and mod a 007 (argh can't dial feet and datewheel are off...)

If not getting a warranty was a deal breaker for you, then I would have thought it should be a no-brainer to send this one back for correction under warranty. 😀

Problem is 20 seconds might be within Seiko spec. Better for it to be 30 😉

A couple more incoming.
KS 4502-7001

The photos are shit (this being the best one). I either scored with a 4420-9990 or pissed away some money.
Okay, the 4420-9990 arrived today. Honestly, I didn't realize it was gold-capped, from the photos. It looks a damn sight better than the listing photos. Need to get to my loupe and check out the dark spots. They don't look like worn plating
