I have a crush on Seiko Pogue for sure. "Secretly" started to collect nice ones a year ago. Here is my latest gem (6139-6001) with early proof dial and original bracelet. The crystal is a bit scratched but other than that very well preserved piece.

I will have to snap some pics of my Seiko's. I have modded quite a few myself as I got into taking watches apart, replacing movements, etc. for a while. My daily wear is a SMPc, but I have a lot of respect for some of the Seiko's, and truth be told, they probably represent a far better value than most Omega's and Rolex. Not the same league of quality, and certainly lacking any snob appeal, but some of the movements like the 7S26 have provided year after year of reliable service for a lot of owners. Some of the newer hacking movements are probably even better. My SMPc is +/- 2 seconds a day, and I have Seiko auto's that I have regulated that provide similar accuracy. I have Seiko divers that have literally taken serious beatings and still run strong. Similar with some Seiko 5 line of watches. These days if I'm doing something especially dirty or where my watch might take a hit, I usually wear a G Shock. My Seamaster has been covered in fish gunk, been fairly dusty and dirty, but when riding my dirt bike or something similar I prefer not to wear it, but like to wear a watch most of the time. It's hard to fault something like a G Shock tough solar watch with atomic time keeping. Keep it where it can get a little light and the time signal every night and it's ready to go, perfectly accurate, and if it gets destroyed it's not much of a loss. Same with some of my Seiko Auto's. Set the time and date and a few shakes and they're off and running.

Most of my friends that own Omega's also seem to own several Seiko's. I don't know many guys any more that don't seem to own at least one G Shock too. I owned a Sub for years, and am really enjoying my SMPc, but can't imagine not having a few Seiko's around.

I find G Shocks too big. If they did 36-38mm versions, I’d be in (they don’t right??)

Or a Seiko SKX013, with a 38mm diameter?

Yup, love the SKX 013 but I already have the SKX173 and a vintage one so not really any space. And a G Shock is totally different.

Just got this and its identical twin back from the spa. The world's first analogue quartz watch, issued by the RAF in 1986. Very happy

Is that a Seiko 5 military dial automatic on my left?
I've seen these marked down to less than 60 USD in recent months, some on ebay at that price today.
They all have a rather unlovely fabric band which is easily replaced of course. I like your choice of band.
I'm considering ordering one next month if I can still find them that cheap or nearly so.Christmas has flattened my wallet a bit this month.
Several sources say these are the best bang for the buck when it comes to mechanical watches even at full MSRP.

It has a solid dependable look about it, and I've seen some modded with dials and hands replaced. Good size for my wrist as well.

Yup that’s it. Same movement as the SKX. There is also a bigger one at 42mm with a 2 step dial and inner 24 hour markers and display back for a little more. Again with the same movement.

Another Kinetic
Wouldn't happen to know of a source for finding the part number of crystals for the kinetics would you?

I've found sources with NOS crystals for older Seiko watches but the part numbers for the crystals are not related to the model numbers of the watches themselves.
Measuring best I could the damaged crystal appears to be around 28mm, but it could be a few tenths larger. Other very similar 5M62 Seikos with very close model numbers are listed as using a 30mm crystal.
This one has a wide Gold Bezel.
The crystals are actually fairly cheap considering.

PS I did have the complete model number written down but one of the cats tossed her cookies on the note pad.
I really must get a cat proof PC room.

Very Nice!
I don't think I've ever seen a Seiko dress watch around here. Only the clunky metal banded semi diver style.

Here is a shot of my only Seiko from just over a month ago when I last wore it in rotation. Seiko M354 5010 Moonraker watch. Seiko certainly made some tough long lasting Quartz watches.

It's a good reminder that, for anyone who harbors an ambition to collect every James Bond watch, you've got to go well beyond Rolex and Omega. Nice!

Equally cool in my opinion is this watch I picked up and that when Roger Moore played the Saint, he wore this model Bulova Regatta 23 in nearly the full series. It does have 2 hands it is just an unfortunate moment that the pic was taken. lol My Bulova Regatta from 1964 with original 1960s Bulova expanding strapis below.

Here’s a shot of my true Pogue from Dec 71. It’s all original including the bracelet but I put it on one from UncleSeiko since the original bracelet was too small for me.
