I really like the SPB441. Just one of those watches where they seem to have gotten everything right, from the size to the dial, script, or even that strap.

I thought it was cool that they reissued a piece from 100 years ago. And the enamel dials do look really nice in person.

I wish the 5 and 7 weren't cut off, that's my only slight reservation with this one.

Yeah I see what you mean! I don't mind it because the subdial still looks well-proportioned relative to the dial.

I finally got to see one of these speed timers in person. It's silly, but I kinda really liked it. Watching the 1/100 second dial spin was cool. Not sure what I need to time to that level of precision though.

I want to like this, and I get what they are trying to do, but I would have still updated the case shape.

The dials look fun!

Ah thanks for gabbing the pics I was going to go back and do it. My only gripe would be the gold tone I think they work better on the 38mm presages at 40mm with the longer lugs they come across as a little flashy to me. I actually sold a couple due to that but damn I think they sold they same day I posted them locally so the following is there. The stainless one might work and yeah seiko just nails it with the dials.

I've been looking into a 5 sports for a daily and the new Bruce Lee really caught my eye. Not sure if I could fully rock it but love the look of it.

I should delete eBay. Accidentally won an SPB253 with a late-night impulse bid.

The good news is that I think I really like it and I got it for about 40% of MSRP due to a couple small dings that are easy to overlook.

The bad news is that impulse buying reissues is slowing down my hunt for a vintage 62mas or 6105-8110.

I'll take more pics at home later and see about the seichu nato, which I've been wanting to try for some time.

It's kinda of tall on the seichu nato, but I think I like how it feels on the wrist.

Update: there are more! My wife, who (to my undying sadness) hates wearing watches, started screaming about how much she wishes she could buy the the Washi Tape watch or the Pattern Making watch:

Quite unique designs.

Seiko is continuing to turn old classics into 5KX's. I don't mind, but I wish they'd give more watches the 6106-8120 treatment and do a real 1:1 reissue.

The X or Padi markings on the new generation Seikos turn me off. I prefer cleaner (more sterilish) dials, more like the original versions.

The above (SKX173 dial swapped, turned into military mod olive green dial) is a good example. And 7548 quartz series are also some other good examples. I can barely tolerate Seiko5 logo, but X or Padi, I can not. Just my 2 cents.

Have you thought about getting an aftermarket pvd bracelet for this?

I was eying this model but I already had a pvd Dan Henry 1972.

I did, but I wasn't sure if any would fit. Have you seen any?

That said, I really like nato's and the seichu strap that it came on. They are comfy and give a sporty look that I like.

I don't have much PVD in my collection, but I have really been eyeing a black PVD Sinn 140 or Sinn EZM 1.1 S. Those look really good in a PVD bracelet. I can daydream being some sort of covert ops specialist and use my "mission timer' to track how efficiently I can complete my grocery shopping missions.

New Prospex 62mas homages. They moved the date similar to what they did on the SPB317, and went with the 6R55 movement.
