Seamaster, stripped crown/tube. Repair help

Hi, new here. I have a 90's Omega Seamster Chrono. The crown or tube has stripped. I rarely wear the watch but I'd like to get it fixed. Its been serviced by Omega (out New Jersey) a few times during its life. Last time was in 2016 and the crown screw down didn't feel correct after the last time they serviced it. There were pretty difficult to deal with as well.
Do I have to go through them to get it repaired or are there reputable Omega repair shops I can use instead?

Thanks

An independent watchmaker with an Omega parts account should have no problem repairing your watch. Give us your location and I'm sure someone here can give you a recommendation.

Isn't Zimmerman often recommended in PA. If they're not near you, I suggest searching the forum. This question is asked very frequently, but you might not get the right person to read your thread.

Thanks Dan. Looks like the are in York which is a about 3.5 hours from me. Not horrible but would be great if there was some one closer to the Altoona/State College area.
