Thanks for your quick response! Very helpful.

Now just a question to check this watch has a screwdown crown right?

No idea - I'm looking it up directly with Omega.

The first one looks more like the one in the watch, since it has a bit of a thicker line before it enters the case, but seeing the second one in the box I am not certain

Have you had an answers from Omega?😀

The number I gave you is from Omega...you can either trust it or not.

Hello Archer! I would love your expert advice. I have a similar problem as the Btimepieces. I bought a new crown (06ST41123) and tube (090ST4201), but am having trouble removing the old stripped friction fit crown tube. I have a crown tube removal tool, but the hole on the inside of the case is only wide enough to fit the winding stem through, so I can't press it out from the inside of the case. Any advice on the best way to remove this from the case?

I use an easy out style tool…

You need to heat the case and case tube well, to break the Loctite bond…then insert the tool, twist, and hope that the tube doesn’t snap off inside the case. If it does, it will come out…

If it snaps off, that’s a whole different set of problems…

Thanks. If it snaps off, what are my options? Drill press?

Do you happen to have a link to the easy out that would work? I believe the dimensions of this particular crown tube are 2.6 * 4.42 * 2.20 mm.

To be honest, I send the case frame to Omega at that point. They have proper fixtures for making sure that the tube is aligned properly when you drill out the old tube, as any misalignment in that process is a real problem.

I used this at Omega, so here’s what that looks like…

Omega sells one but you need a parts account for that. The one shown above was part of a set I bought at a chain store in Canada and that is just the smallest one in the set. It’s labeled Micro GraBit #1

Thanks. I found one online and just placed an order.

I picked up something similar at Lowes yesterday, but I might wait until this arrives if you've had success with it.

Thanks for the information Archer!
