Sorry to hear about this. But, being a glass half-full kinda guy, I immediately thought that it could have been worse: you could have lost it on land. 😉

... or lost it including your arm...

Shark attack and so...

Hmmm, what do you think the odds of recovering the "lost" watch now that the OP's plan is out of the bag and posted on an internet forum for all to see? Sure would be better to have a wet watch with a scuff than a stretch of hard time. 😁

Is anyone having as much fun as I am here? 😗 😜
Its wrong I know, but actually yes 😀. It feels like a guilty kinda pleasure. 📖

As a golfer. And you know you hit that shot into the bad rough. You have to look, but, you really hope that you don't find as the next shot will be a f******r. Am sensing with the drop watch scuff thing and all, its better off lost.
But good luck with the find and keep us posted.

It's just one guy and when it comes to the public forums online I prefer to protect everyone's privacy. 👍

Just look at the trolls out there! You never know what sort of assholes you could be revealing yourself to.

Good idea, except you should have kept your sca...... er, plan..... private too.

It's the internet. Besides, us trolls never know what kind of bullshit we'll see from new members who's email addresses match their screen names TOO PERFECTLY, as in they are using this particular screen name / identity to tell tall tales.

EDITED due to request by OP

Of course, the OP could possibly be telling the truth and everything else is simply one LARGE coincidence. He could travel for work, and his company has locations in all those places. However, the odds aren't good and are getting worse with each instance.

Worldly dude, apparently...

Yep, and if he does live in Boston that makes a little more sense.

I don't think he is lying. If his intention was to get a replacement watch after it got damaged, he could have posted right away that he has lost his watch at sea, and not reported the first scuff to the insurance, and on this forum.
Again, I don't understand why he would do that

Yea, not to mention I already stated in the other thread I was happy to keep my dent put there by my kid.

Is there any connection to this query in another thread?

https://omegaforums.net/threads/lost-stolen-omegas-and-confiscation-questions.45085/

I always give people the benefit of doubt until they prove themselves not to be believable ..... But I am starting to wonder about the coincidences.

I'm sure the OP had a damaged watch so I hope it works out as it should in the end. Accidents happen but it still stings.

Nope. I passed on that watch for a speedy.

The watch has been found! Just got the call he found it in 6 feet of water right near the mooring! Apparently it's still running!
