Gotcha. I'm sure they won't think anything is suspicious about the watch conveniently falling to the bottom of the ocean mere days after it getting accidentally damaged.

They can think what they want and they'll either choose to hold up their side of the deal or not. I am completely aware of the fact that this will likely raise a flag for them, but what else can I do? I'll submit a claim and suck it up. Also, JM doesn't just cut checks, they pay your jeweler or dealer directly for the replacement. I just want the frigging watch back.
Also- the watch was hardly "damaged." It got scuffed and had been keeping near perfect time. I didn't need a new watch because of a scuff. And they would have repaired it anyways at no cost to me, so what do I have to gain out of a claim other than screwing myself over by getting dropped from the policy and having this mark on my CLUE report?
