Co-signed or double-signed watches are uncommon but not especially rare. Unfortunately, unscrupulous sellers sometimes add a retailers name to an unsigned dial in the hopes of driving up value. Co-signed watches are difficult to verify given that the retailers rarely kept records, or if they did, they have been lost to history. A few names such as Turler or Hermes that were known to be applied to certain models will draw a premium, but others such as Cartier are often faked. The best you can do is scrutinize other dials with the same signature and then make an educated guess as to authenticity.

The cynic in me expects to see a lot of cosigned dials popping up between now and November given that a major auction house will soon present a themed sale of them. Buyer beware.
