I found this watch being sold today, has anyone seen anything like this before?

Well, OP. One person feels it "could be" original based on some convoluted probabilistic reasoning, but to answer your question, apparently nobody has seen anything like it before. Or at least nobody has provided any evidence of a Tiffany signature with this font, in this location, and so poorly aligned. Not yet, anyway.

I did find this one, similar thick font but not sure if original. I do think the placement of the stamp is possible, as other retailers like Turler have stamped under the star.

I agree that the placement is possible, but the disparities in the centering remain.

Even if original, it still looks shit and is a negative not positive on overall value IMO. Can we agree on that at least? 😉

"original Tiffany intended stamp"
What does the above mean?

I’ll accept that the font may have been used by Tiffany. I’ll also accept the notion that some redialling firm might have a Tiffany stamp that looks like that, because I’m sure they used contractors or the printing was done outside of the factory.

What I can’t accept is that either the importer or Tiffany would accept an off-center stamp like that on a watch they were going to sell at full retail or higher in the 1960’s.
