    Hello, all.

This forum has made me smarter by the day on vintage watches and their history. Thanks to all for that.
My question today is regarding this seamaster:

The Placement of the Tiffany Logo seems suspicious.
    Opinions?

    Hello to all:

I hate to be a drag on this. I've researched the site and found that is common to have the Tiffany brand added on vintage watches, and that these co-signed watches are rare.

Am I looking at a fake here? I am really interested in buying this watch. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Co-signed or double-signed watches are uncommon but not especially rare. Unfortunately, unscrupulous sellers sometimes add a retailers name to an unsigned dial in the hopes of driving up value. Co-signed watches are difficult to verify given that the retailers rarely kept records, or if they did, they have been lost to history. A few names such as Turler or Hermes that were known to be applied to certain models will draw a premium, but others such as Cartier are often faked. The best you can do is scrutinize other dials with the same signature and then make an educated guess as to authenticity.

The cynic in me expects to see a lot of cosigned dials popping up between now and November given that a major auction house will soon present a themed sale of them. Buyer beware.

Well... I pulled the trigger on the watch after some detective work.

The seller had included a service note to a jeweler in New York. After a call to the shop I was able to confirm two things:
The seller had no idea of what the watch was: he swore that the watch was 1950's vintage.
The watch was indeed serviced recently and running properly. The dial was not re-touched at all.

The watch seems legit: the movt is a 563 and the print on the dial seems also correct.
