Thanks Herianto. 😀
It turns out she's been watching my eBay habits and online search queries!
Should I be worried?

Worry? No Mazen...you should be proud....you should ask dsio to create vintage lady Omega sub forum and have her as moderator 😀.

Crystals are still available from Omega. Part number for the 166042 case reference in steel is 062PN2100. Little more money that a typical round crystal is though, but still not bad.

Cheers, Al

I found this online 15 days ago it came in the post today I'm well chuffed. It's not running has no crown and scratches on the crystal, I'm now saving up for a sympathetic clean and service. I love it.

I came across one of these about 6 months ago. It was in Taiwan and the dial was in such poor condition I passed on it. The watch left a lasting impression on me. So different. I may start another search.

I spent 3 years scouring the internet for a seamaster, any date and model, that passed for my meager budget. I've bid on hundreds, learnt ref numbers, how to spot fakes or franken watches. Then a month ago this compressor came into view I hadn't seen one before, i thought i would be outbid for sure. I'm still beaming about it.

That first listing is very nice, I'm definitely in the market for a blue strap, there's a very good chance I found a crown online with a female stem, 4mm, just need to wait a week or two for the post man. Still have hope that it'll click in wind and start ticking. Fingers crossed.

This arrived in the post today omega f300 cone 198.012, before buying it on eBay I was told that it didn't have the original 1250 cal movement and that someone had put an automatic movement in it. However it's all genuine and with a new battery it hummed back into life, another great find at a very affordable price. Chuffed is an understatement!

Great catch. Changing out the crystal will make a world of difference.

Lovely thing - 1970s Omega are hugely underrated imo. You have me looking for one of those now.

Mine says hi 😀

Try
www.electricwatches.co.uk - they might help. They also did a sterling job on the service for mine and although mine didn't need it, if you want the sunburst on the bezel restored they can do that for you also

Crystal gaskets are a bit more "specific" than say a typical case back gasket. In this case it's a Hytrel gasket:

098EW0006 | L CRYSTAL GASKETS Ø32 T1.1 H3.2

Since these hold the crystal in place by friction/compression, the dimensions and shape are critical, as the interference fit has to be just right or the crystal will either not be held in, the gasket will be crushed on installation, or the crystal will break...so trying to use generic parts is tricky in many cases...
